About Wheelhouse DMG

Wheelhouse DMG is a performance-driven digital marketing agency that operates with a "partnership-first" mentality. For over a decade, we have solved the most complex digital challenges for innovative healthcare organizations, medical device companies, and large-scale enterprises. We aren’t a typical agency; we don’t use "change requests" or surprise invoices. Instead, we act as a transparent extension of our clients’ teams.

Our culture is built on five sacrosanct values: Helpfulness, Generosity, Trust, Stewardship, and Joy. We believe that by being genuinely helpful and acting with integrity, we create the best outcomes for our clients and the most fulfilling environment for our employees. From our quarterly "Generosity Days" to our focus on HIPAA-compliant data strategies, we combine technical excellence with a human-centric approach.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Digital Strategy Manager to lead complex, multi-channel engagements and serve as a trusted advisor to our premier clients. In this role, you will be responsible for translating high-level business goals into actionable digital roadmaps that span SEO, paid media, analytics, and user experience.

You aren’t just a project manager; you are a strategic architect. You will spend your days digging into data to find "hidden" opportunities, leading client presentations with a clear narrative, and mentoring a team of talented strategists to deliver work that exceeds expectations. This role is perfect for a "T-Shaped" marketer who loves connecting the dots between technical execution and business value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and oversee the execution of comprehensive digital strategies tailored to regulated industries (Healthcare, Finance, etc.), ensuring all tactics align with long-term ROI goals.
  • Client Partnership: Act as the primary strategic lead for key accounts, building deep relationships based on transparency and proactive helpfulness.
  • Data Synthesis: Leverage data science insights and proprietary technology to identify market trends, conduct technical audits, and provide evidence-based recommendations.
  • Narrative Building: Transform complex analytics into compelling stories for executive-level presentations, clearly articulating the "why" behind every recommendation.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with SEO, Digital Advertising, and Analytics teams to ensure a unified "One Wheelhouse" approach to client service.
  • Mentorship & Growth: Provide hands-on guidance to junior and associate strategists, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
  • Innovation: Stay at the forefront of the industry, particularly regarding privacy-first marketing, AI-driven workflows, and algorithm shifts.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Experience: 6–9 years of experience in digital marketing strategy, ideally within an agency environment.
  • Industry Knowledge: Proven track record of managing digital initiatives in the healthcare or medical device sectors (understanding of HIPAA/privacy constraints is a major plus).
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of SEO, Google Analytics (GA4), Search Console, and at least one paid media platform (Google Ads or Meta Business Suite).
  • Analytical Mindset: Exceptional ability to interpret qualitative and quantitative data to solve "unsolvable" business problems.
  • Communication: Elite verbal and written communication skills with the "executive presence" required to present to C-suite stakeholders.
  • Values Alignment: A genuine desire to work in an environment where kindness, empathy, and generosity are prioritized over "mercenary" business tactics.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.

Benefits at Wheelhouse

  • Unlimited PTO and Monthly Mental Health Days.
  • Quarterly paid "Generosity Days" for community service.
  • $1,000 annual Professional Development credit and a monthly "Joy Fund."
  • 100% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision for employees and dependents.
  • 401k with dollar-for-dollar matching up to 4%.
