The Vice President of Marketing, Wilo Americas, is the senior marketing leader responsible for developing and executing the regional marketing and portfolio strategy across the Americas. Reporting to the CTO, Wilo Americas, this role connects market insight, customer needs, product and application expertise, brand leadership, digitalization, and commercial execution to accelerate profitable growth. The VP will lead the Marketing organization, partner closely with Americas Sales, Product Management, Engineering, Operations, and global Wilo teams, and strengthen Wilo Americas' position as a trusted provider of pumps, pump systems, and water-management solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Own and execute Wilo Americas' marketing and portfolio strategy, annual plan, priorities, and performance management process aligned with regional business objectives.
  • Lead, develop, and organize the Marketing team by setting clear goals, establishing effective processes, coaching talent, and building capabilities for future growth.
  • Translate customer, market, channel, competitor, and regulatory insights into actionable growth priorities, value propositions, campaigns, and portfolio recommendations.
  • Align Americas portfolio strategy for regional needs.
  • Develop business cases for new products, platform investments, and market expansion opportunities.
  • Partner with Sales leadership to improve demand generation, opportunity development, channel engagement, lead management, sales enablement, and customer retention.
  • Drive regional brand strategy and ensure consistent positioning, messaging, visual identity, and customer experience across Wilo Americas businesses, brands, channels, and touchpoints.
  • Lead integrated marketing communications, including digital marketing, content, public relations, events, trade shows, advertising, social media, thought leadership, and internal communications.
  • Build a measurable demand-generation engine using appropriate marketing automation, analytics, and digital platforms; establish clear funnel definitions and service-level alignment with Sales.
  • Guide product and solution marketing, including segmentation, targeting, positioning, launches, pricing support, lifecycle communication, competitive intelligence, and go-to-market readiness.
  • Advance customer-facing digital and AI-enabled marketing capabilities that improve speed, relevance, personalization, productivity, and the overall customer journey.
  • Create and manage strategic relationships with distributors, engineering firms, contractors, consultants, municipalities, end users, industry associations, universities, and other ecosystem partners.
  • Evaluate market trends, customer requirements, competitive threats, and emerging technologies.
  • Ensure marketing activities comply with company policies, applicable laws, data-privacy requirements, brand standards, and ethical business practices.

Leadership and Cross-Functional Expectations

  • Serve as a strategic advisor to the CTO and Americas leadership team on market trends, customer needs, portfolio opportunities, brand positioning, and growth investments.
  • Build strong working relationships across Sales, Product Management, Engineering, Operations, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, and global functions.
  • Promote a customer-focused, data-informed, collaborative, and accountable culture.
  • Communicate clearly with executive, technical, commercial, and external audiences and represent Wilo at selected customer and industry events.
  • Lead change effectively across multiple businesses, locations, brands, channels, and stakeholder groups.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • MBA, postgraduate degree in engineering, or other relevant advanced degree.
  • Proven experience leading Marketing or Product Management organizations.
  • At least 15 years of progressive marketing, product management, commercial strategy, or business development experience, including senior leadership responsibility
  • Demonstrated success developing and executing marketing strategies in a B2B, B2C, industrial, manufacturing, engineered-products, building-services, water, or infrastructure environment.
  • Experience in pumps, water/wastewater management, HVAC, plumbing, industrial equipment, building technologies, or related markets.
  • Strong knowledge of market segmentation, customer insights, brand management, demand generation, digital marketing, product launches, channel marketing, and marketing analytics.
  • Experience working with distributors, representatives, engineers, contractors, municipalities, OEMs, and end users.
  • Working knowledge of CRM, marketing automation, business intelligence, digital commerce, and AI-enabled marketing tools.
  • Familiarity with digital products, software-enabled services, IoT, AI-enabled solutions, and recurring revenue business models.
  • Experience aligning multiple brands, acquired businesses, or product portfolios.
  • Executive-level communication, presentation, stakeholder-management, and change-leadership skills.
  • Ability to travel within the Americas and internationally as business needs require.
