POSITION SUMMARY: The VP of Marketing will spearhead our marketing initiatives to drive the growth and visibility of Midland Industries. This role requires strategic vision and hands-on leadership to elevate the brand, support our sales efforts, and manage product development to ensure the successful creation and introduction of new products into the market. The VP of Marketing will develop and execute innovative, data-driven marketing and product strategies that drive business growth.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Brand Strategy and Management: Represents and builds the Midland Industries brand by training and educating internal platform-wide staff, stakeholders, and the marketplace. As the brand ambassador, promote brand equity through press release announcements, LinkedIn social media promotion, trade magazines and associations, and product service spotlights.
- Product Management Leadership and Go-to-Market Strategy: Manage and lead the Product Management team, overseeing the entire product life cycle from ideation and development through to market introduction and product retirement. Ensure that all products align with market demands and business goals. Develop and implement go-to-market strategies for new products, including pricing, positioning, and promotional plans to maximize product visibility and adoption. Monitor product performance post-launch and make necessary adjustments to optimize market success and profitability.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire a cross-functional team, including graphic designers, UX digital designers, and product developers, fostering a collaborative environment to achieve marketing goals.
- Marketing Calendar Management: Create and oversee a detailed marketing calendar that aligns with sales initiatives, trade show schedules, and market manager plans. Ensure timely execution of all marketing activities.
- Campaign Development: Design and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns (email, digital, social media, SEO, PPC, etc.) to drive engagement, generate leads, increase brand visibility, and support new product launches.
- Analytics and Reporting: Utilize advanced analytics tools to measure the effectiveness of marketing programs. Regularly report on key performance metrics and make data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Content Creation and Optimization: Oversee the creation and optimization of website content, ensuring it aligns with customer interests, business objectives, and new product messaging. Manage the production of marketing materials, including ads, print materials, digital content, and product-specific collateral.
- Media Relations and Publicity: Develop and maintain relationships with media outlets, manage press releases, and promote brand equity through strategic media placements and partnerships.
- Product Photography and Imagery: Update and maintain a comprehensive image library, including new product photos, to ensure high-quality and engaging visual content.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including sales teams and product managers, to align marketing efforts with business objectives and market needs.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and achieving a positive return on investment.
- Other Duties as Assigned: Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall marketing strategy and organizational goals.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in B2B marketing, with a proven track record of managing digital marketing campaigns and achieving business growth.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to work in an office environment with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk.
- Travel: Occasional travel may be required for trade shows, conferences, and other events.
