Position Overview:
As Creative Director, you’ll lead the evolution of our visual identity and creative strategy, ensuring it reflects our brand values across all touchpoints.
Partnering with the Brightland team and partners, you'll create inspired work that aligns with business goals and deepens our connection with our community. Your leadership will foster innovation and ensure Brightland continues to stand out as a vibrant, thoughtful brand. You'll play a key role in shaping our brand story and delivering meaningful customer experiences.This position reports to the Director of Marketing.
Key Responsibilities
- Creative Strategy & Direction: Define and evolve Brightland’s creative strategy and visual identity to reflect core values and design principles. Ensure consistency across all content (packaging, website, social, print, in-store), and develop systems to measure creative effectiveness.
- Campaign & Content Development: Lead the creation of integrated campaigns, overseeing concept, art direction, and execution across all channels. Manage content production from start to finish, ensuring alignment with brand values and objectives.
- Customer Experience & Retail Design: Design impactful customer experiences across online, in-store, and event touchpoints. Lead the creative for retail activations (end caps, shelf talkers, in-store displays) to enhance the in-store experience.
- Team Leadership & Collaboration: Lead and inspire a creative team, fostering innovation and cross-team collaboration with Marketing and Product to ensure alignment with business goals.
- Trend Curation & Budget Management: Curate good taste and understand trends to maintain a fresh, innovative visual identity. Manage the creative budget to deliver projects on time and within budget.
This Sounds Like You:
- You have at least 8 years of experience in a creative role, and at least 3 in a creative leadership role, preferably within beauty, luxury retail, or CPG.
- You are based in New York City or Los Angeles, can come to the office 1x a week, and can travel when needed.
- You have a strong portfolio that demonstrates your expertise in visual design, brand storytelling, and campaign development.
- You are a visionary leader with a passion for creativity and a deep understanding of how design and storytelling shape consumer experiences.
- You thrive in a collaborative environment, working seamlessly with cross-functional teams to craft cohesive, impactful campaigns that bring a brand’s values to life.
- You know how to balance innovation with strategy, and you excel at managing both people and resources to bring your vision to life on time and within budget.
