Job Description
Emerald, a leader in building dynamic market platforms that integrate live events and media, seeks a VP
Strategy to drive organizational effectiveness through execution of strategic and operational projects
across the business. This role will report to Emerald's CEO and work in partnership with executive and
senior leadership across the company.
The VP Strategy will blend strategic and tactical responsibilities to:
- Create and present marketing materials for client meetings, covering key topics such as financing
options, working capital optimization, and industry insights
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of Emerald's brand portfolio, services, and key clients,
including detailed research on client and prospect landscapes, purchasing behaviors, revenue
drivers, business models, competitors, economic trends, and industry challenges
- Maintain internal analysis pertaining to portfolio performance and update according to growth,
drivers and industry trends
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to analyze and execute decks for deliverables including
brand performance, strengths, and opportunities
- Foster a collaborative approach, working effectively with team members to achieve common
goals
- Lead the development and execution of brand and portfolio's long-term strategic goals,
initiatives, ensuring alignment with organization's vision and objectives
- Develop and implement strategies to mitigate financial, operational, and strategic risks within the
company's event-related activities
The VP Strategy will need to integrate into all areas of the organization to effectively organize and
execute projects. It's critical that the person in this role can lead with an analytical, inclusive, and
decisive style that creates consensus to drive results as an extension of the CEO. Success in this role will
provide several different career paths including commercial or brand senior leadership position, or a
strategic corporate leadership role as the organization continues to grow.
This role will be based in NYC on a hybrid schedule aligned with our executive leadership team's office
presence.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a senior finance and strategy role, preferably with a banking/finance background, or in events, entertainment, and hospitality sectors
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and align cross-functional teams-finance, operations, marketing, and technology-toward common business goals and deliver results
- Experience in managing multiple stakeholders to achieve organizational objectives
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality results in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that demands adaptability to changing priorities
- Strong analytical, research, and project management skills
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a focus on prioritization and critical thinking
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks independently
- Solid understanding of financial markets, economic data, and emerging trends

Compensation & Benefits
Target Compensation: $200,000 (bonus eligible)
Please note that this range reflects a reasonable estimate of the target compensation for this position. This range may ultimately vary based on a candidate’s qualifications and may be higher where required by applicable law.
