Job Purpose
This individual will be responsible for developing the marketing strategies to drive growth of the Britbox business including leading a partnership and internal media team to leverage paid and partner campaigns across multiple platforms.
The ideal candidate will be a seasoned marketing executive with experience across the entire marketing funnel, as well as a track record of developing omnichannel strategies and campaigns to drive transformative growth for new and mature businesses.
The right person for this role is very comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile, data-driven environment and possesses a strong ability to multitask, prioritize and handle multiple projects concurrently. S/he should have an obsessive attention to detail, can excel at setting strategy, mentoring a team, but also loves rolling up their sleeves and getting the job done. They aren’t afraid to set a high bar for themselves and their team.
As part of a relatively small team it will be important for the incoming person to be a self-starter, happy to pick up tasks and projects that may not fall directly in their remit and be prepared to get involved in anything and everything.
Responsibilities
- Lead development of the BBI NA omnichannel growth marketing strategy by identifying high impact market opportunities, new audiences and data-driven/test & learn techniques to achieve business growth targets.
- Lead a media and marketing team that serves as a center of excellence across both ATL and BTL media channels and supports the full funnel marketing and media strategy development and execution of campaigns.
- Evolve our audience growth strategy via knowledge of the target audiences and analyzing data on media consumption behaviors and knowledge of how to bring customer segmentation insights to life to inform where and how to best reach these consumers with the appropriate messages.
- Build and deliver growth forecasts and marketing budgets for the North America business, partnering with Finance, and research to refine scenarios based on expected performance.
- Lead user acquisition efforts, including planning, execution, testing and optimization of media plans across TV, OOH, Radio, CTV, Digital, Social, mobile platforms and distribution partners.
- Lead exploration of emerging marketing channels, vetting partnerships ideas and advertising proposals to identify new efficient growth driving tactics across acquisition and retention.
- Develop, test and optimize the promotional calendar and ensure the effective execution of promotional strategies to drive incremental growth.
- Partner with the product lead to ensure the customer acquisition funnel and key journeys on web and app experiences are maximized for conversion and engagement.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to enhance and continue building best-in-class marketing data and technology capabilities and determine requirements for our evolving marketing and ad technology needs.
- Partner with program marketing and creative team to ensure seamless process for creating and delivering creative, including TV and other video assets, audio, OOH, social ads and SEM copy.
- Collaborate with the Lifecycle & Engagement lead to develop hypotheses to increase engagement and generate growth via increased customer lifetime value.
- Establish the strategic framework for measuring performance. Track, analyze and report on KPIs to BBI management.
- Build a measurement roadmap to understand campaign impact and answer key questions around media efficiency, frequency, attribution and media optimization.
- Build a culture of rapid experimentation, data-driven opportunism, creativity and ability to be on the forefront of growth innovation.
Knowledge and Experience
- Bachelors degree (Master's a plus) or equivalent experience
- Extensive level of experience in growth marketing, paid media, and marketing strategy development, ideally with experience in subscription-based products.
- A proven track record of building multi-channel marketing campaigns that deliver & exceed business goals.
- Experience leading teams with individuals of varied functions, and foster a culture of agility and flexibility amongst the team.
Skills and Personal Attributes
- Extremely analytical with demonstrated ability to use qual & quant data to drive customer-focused product & marketing strategy
- Self-starter who can power through challenges and thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent analytical, strategy, project management and presentation skills.
- Experience working with MMM and MTA models is a plus.
- Excellent stakeholder management, strong relationships internally with frequent collaboration, clear communication and consistency in developing impactful strategies
- Superb work ethic and positive, can-do attitude
Salary Range $175 -200K base salary + competitive benefits + bonus potential
Please note that the salary range is intended to give as an indicator of the salaries that could be attributed to the breadth or experience for a given role. All candidates will be measured based on their level of experience.
We work flexibly at BritBox, to support new markets some work may be conducted outside of US business hours to coordinate with territories in other time zones.
