Job Description: Our client is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Strategy Associate to join their team in Chicago. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of investment banking experience and a strong understanding of financial markets and investment strategies. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth and expansion of the firm’s business development efforts, working closely with senior professionals and engaging with potential investors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development and maintenance of relationships with existing and potential investors.
- Assist in preparing and delivering presentations, pitch books, and other marketing materials for investor meetings.
- Respond to investor inquiries and provide timely and accurate information.
- Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and potential investors.
- Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and investment strategies to support business development initiatives.
- Prepare detailed reports and analysis to inform strategic decisions.
- Create and update marketing materials, including presentations, brochures, and newsletters.
- Ensure all materials are consistent with the firm’s branding and messaging.
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather relevant data and insights for marketing materials.
- Assist in developing and executing business development strategies to expand the firm’s investor base.
- Identify and prioritize potential investor segments and outreach strategies.
- Track and report on the effectiveness of business development activities.
- Work closely with the investment, legal, and compliance teams to ensure alignment and support for business development activities.
- Participate in internal meetings and provide insights on market trends and investor feedback.
- Support special projects and initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in investment banking experience or a similar role in financial services.
- Strong understanding of financial markets, investment strategies, and alternative investments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to create compelling and professional presentations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
