We are seeking a Brand Social & Community Manager to join the IHOP team. Someone who is inspired by culture, social trends and a creative thinker. As the Brand Social & Community Manager at IHOP, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and amplifying our brand presence across social media platforms and defining our voice for IHOP on all platforms.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about social, storytelling, and a self-starter who thinks creatively, exploring new platforms and trends to drive relevance for our brand. This person will develop and implement a strategy, manage content, plan campaigns, monitor performance and engage with the community.
Key Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for cultivating a dynamic community, driving engagement, and creating meaningful connections with our current audience and driving in new consumers to interact with our brand.
- Social Strategy: Develop and manage social strategy in partnership with the Executive Director, Brand Communications to drive relevance for the IHOP brand, focusing on a channel-based approach to reach audiences in ways they want to interact with the IHOP brand.
- IHOP Brand Social Platforms Management: Lead and owning global social calendar and platform positioning based on social media strategy, partner with content creation agency to conceptualize and create compelling and shareable content for various social media channels
- Community: Manage content creator strategy and develop relationships with various content creators across key platforms including TikTok and Instagram.
- Social Listening & Rection: Monitor social media channels for trends, conversations, and brand mentions, providing insights to inform strategy and develop toolkit for real-time brand reaction
- Content Development & Response Team: Build internal team of content creators and editors for rapid content creation, editing, deployment and response.
- Community Building & Management: Foster a strong sense of communities among IHOP super fans, encouraging interaction, user-generated content, and brand advocacy
- Brand Tone & Voice: Develop brand voice across social media platforms, ensuring consistency and authenticity based on our brand positioning
- Campaign Management: Plan and execute social media campaigns, collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve campaign objectives
- Crises management: Work closely with the Executive Director, Brand Communications to monitor social platforms to provide updates on any situations that may arise.
Skills & Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in social media, content creation or community management, leading large online communities
- Proven track record of managing cross-channel content calendars
- Proficiency in social media analytics tools
- Managed content creators, influencers and live events
- Ability to collaborate with the cross functional team
- Be considered an expert in the area of social media
- Manage outside agencies /vendors to ensure adherence to deadlines and completion of task
- Be able to effectively work independently, on multiple projects and deliver against often strict timelines
- Organization and prioritization
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Budget management
- Bachelor’s degree required with a field of study in: Marketing, Business, Journalism, English, Communications preferred
- Base Salary: $105,000 +
