We are hiring a Event Marketing Specialist. This position will work a hybrid schedule requiring the candidate to work in the office as needed as well as from home.
Job Purpose: Manages the strategy, development and execution of marketing plans and strategies to boost event awareness, customer engagement, lead generation, and increase event registration, while analyzing performance to optimize future campaigns.
Job Summary: The Event Marketing Specialist plays a key role in managing and supporting the development and execution of marketing plans and strategies to boost event awareness, customer engagement, lead generation, and increase event registration. This position involves working closely with the marketing and content team to develop, implement, and monitor marketing campaigns across various channels, including but not limited to email, digital advertising, social media, and traditional media. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of email marketing strategy, market trends, consumer behavior, and the ability to analyze campaign performance to optimize existing and future initiatives.
Duties: (Additional duties may be assigned as needed.)
- Develop and implement marketing campaigns that align to registration and business goals.
- Execute marketing campaigns across the consumer funnel to increase live and virtual event registration across our event brands.
Coordinate campaign timelines and deliverables and manage day-to-day execution of marketing activities to drive engagement and conversions.
- Manage content calendars to ensure that campaigns are delivered on time and align with company goals.
- Collaborate with internal teams to produce marketing materials and assets that support campaigns, event experiences, and Membership sales efforts onsite at events.
Create compelling written content for marketing campaigns including but not limited to emails, newsletters, social media, blogs, and website.
- Drive the day-to-day management of assigned marketing initiatives.
- Track, evaluate and report on campaign, resource and ad performance and make recommendations on next steps or ways to optimize current efforts. This includes coordination across teams and the ability to learn used tech stack (Marketo, Tableau, SF, Google Analytics) to pull reports.
- Conduct market research to identify new opportunities, consumer needs, and competitive analysis.
- Responsible for ensuring all necessary tracking is set-up and implemented for marketing initiatives.
- Maintain the marketing calendar and track project timelines.
- Propose innovative ways to increase event registration, products and membership.
- Collaborate and coordinate closely with the Event Logistics/Operations team to assist on creative initiatives, support in planning tasks when needed, and create an aesthetically excellent attendee experience at events.
- Create sales resources and assets to support internal sales teams efforts to sell event tickets, as well customer service to support attendee retention efforts.
- Work across departments with sales, product development, accounting, salesforce as needed.
- Support execution and build of live and virtual event registration launches within Monday.com and Cvent.

Qualifications:
- Highly organized and excellent at multitasking and project management.
- Sense of urgency to take initiative, project manage to meet deadlines and proactive follow through.
- Advanced skills in specific marketing domains, such as digital marketing, data analysis, or content strategy, along with the ability to interpret data and optimize efforts.
- Advanced understanding with reporting (ie: Marketo, Tableau, SF, Google Analytics or similar).
- Ability to work independently with little supervision.
- Ability to think creatively and develop innovative marketing strategies.
- Team player who enjoys interacting with others.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including a passion for creative/marketing writing.
- Acute attention to detail and strong proofing skills.
- Strong problem solving and conflict management skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours.
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, advertising, events or a related field.
- 4+ years of work experience in a professional environment.
- 2+ years in a marketing acquisition/product marketing/event marketing type role.
- Strong understanding of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within event, traditional and digital marketing and marketing acquisition/audience development.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook. Experienced in Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Understanding of project management software.
- Solid grasp of marketing automation software and email best practices, i.e., Marketo.
- Thorough familiarity of CRM software, i.e., Salesforce
- Knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and online course platforms.
- A base knowledge/understanding of event management systems, such as Cvent, is preferred but not required.

Attending Events:
Partof the job responsibilities for this position may require the Servant Leader to attend and assist at Company events throughout the year. The position may require travel to locations within the United States or Canada, assisting and working under the direction of the Events Department at the events, working extended hours immediately prior to, during and after the days of an event and interacting with Company clients and event invitees. The Servant Leader is expected to represent the Company in a favorable light before, during and after each event.
Ability to work independently with little supervision.
Ability to work flexible hours and travel.
