ABOUT THE JOB:
A key member of the leadership team, the Vice President of Marketing embodies a comprehensive marketing philosophy, business strategy and direction of the organization. The position oversees the organization’s branding, digital & traditional marketing for our two owned Handbag brands, Aimee Kestenberg & American Leather Co.
This role is Hybrid and requires 3 days in the office (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday), based conveniently in Midtown near the Empire State Building.

Director of Marketing, Director of Brand Creative
RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Oversee the comprehensive brand marketing plans, including campaigns, events, partnerships, and activations across social media, partnerships, events, influencer, and PR marketing channels.
● Oversee brand positioning, messaging, and visual identity across all marketing channels and touchpoints.
● Maintain brand integrity and ensure all marketing materials adhere to brand guidelines and standards.
● Lead the conceptualization, planning, and execution of integrated marketing campaigns across digital, print, social media, events, and other channels.
● Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and customer insights to identify opportunities, trends, and consumer preferences.
● Utilize data-driven insights to refine marketing strategies and target audience segmentation.
● Utilize tools such as digital analytics, marketing tools, etc. to define trends across channels and understand opportunities to guide the brand towards increases in revenue, lifetime value, and average order values
● Manage marketing budgets effectively, allocate resources efficiently, and track expenditures to ensure cost-effectiveness and ROI.
● Ensure appropriate marketing technology tools are in place and set up effectively. Work with technology partners to identify and implement new tools where needed
● Develop comprehensive high-level marketing strategies aligned with the brand's overall objectives, target audience, and market trends.
● Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, design, and product development to ensure cohesive brand messaging and consistent brand positioning.
● Monitor campaign performance, analyze metrics, and adjust strategies as needed to optimize results and ROI.
● Drive digital marketing initiatives including SEO, paid media, email marketing, social media strategy, and influencer partnerships.
● Stay updated with digital marketing trends and technologies to maximize brand visibility and engagement online.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
● Ability to develop and execute strategic marketing plans that align with the brand's objectives and target audience while considering market trends and competitive landscape.
● Strong understanding of the brand’s identity, values, and positioning. Ability to maintain brand integrity and consistency across all marketing channels.
● Proficiency in digital marketing strategies and platforms including social media, email marketing, SEO/SEM, and website optimization to drive online traffic and engagement.
● Skills in conducting market research, analyzing consumer behavior, competitive intelligence, and industry trends to inform marketing strategies and decisions.
● Ability to conceptualize and execute innovative marketing campaigns, collaborations, and events that resonate with our consumers and elevate brand perception.
● Strong leadership skills to inspire and lead a team of marketing professionals, providing guidance, support, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, product development, retail operations, and creative departments.
● Proficiency in data analysis tools and metrics to measure campaign performance, track KPIs, and make data-driven decisions to optimize marketing strategies.
● Experience in developing and managing marketing budgets, allocating resources efficiently, and ensuring cost-effective marketing initiatives.
● A genuine passion for handbags & women’s fashion, creativity, innovation, and staying updated with industry trends and consumer preferences.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
● Proven experience (7-12 years) in marketing roles within the women’s fashion industry
● Strong understanding of women’s fashion market dynamics, consumer behavior, and trends
● Strong technical knowledge of digital marketing strategies and platforms
