About The Role
We are looking for an experienced & professional Events Marketing Manager to build our brand, generate pipeline deals for our firm and portfolio, and create an environment of shared learning for our companies. As events marketing manager you will create ROI-positive brand moments by setting and achieving attendance and marketing targets, creating post-event followup campaigns, and maintaining year-round community engagement. You'll promote and track our conferences, community dinners, meetups, executive/investor events, and online webinars. You should be highly organized, social, and capable of moving multiple things forward with minimal supervision while communicating effectively. An ideal candidate is willing to roll up their sleeves beyond basic job functions to build a memorable experience. This is a full-time hybrid position based onsite and in SF's Hayes Valley.

Responsibilities
- Drive and track high-quality event attendance, social media engagement, and lead generation. Create top-of-funnel awareness to grow our event registration, content views, and social media reach. This includes promotional outreach via LinkedIn, social media, Discord, blogs, newsletters, technical communities, and other community partnerships.
- Write clear, on-brand, and timely event communications for all external-facing audiences including producing and managing bios, event listings, agendas, invites, outreach, landing pages, print materials, SWAG, and other types of outreach and event copy
- Create and manage a calendar of marketing emails and social media ads including resizing vector file images and remixing speaker graphics to ensure timely delivery and impact
- Manage promotional budgets, resources, and related external vendors and agencies. This includes identifying target-rich field events and negotiating high-yield sponsorship and partnerships
- Network and collaborate with adjacent event organizers and communities to establish cross-promotion, list-building, and content
- Collect and organize sponsorship deliverables in relation to our events and field marketing efforts.
- Set targets, monitor performance, manage promotional lists and event registration, and continually iterate on an event playbook to create repeatable results
- Proactively surface interesting event-related leads and opportunities to the partnership
- Contribute creative event ideas and innovative marketing tactics to enhance our marketing strategies
Environment, Position & Hours
- This is a full time position and Heavybit's typical business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5pm (PST) with some evening events.
- Candidates are expected to be onsite in our Hayes Valley office 3 days a week

Requirements
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Min 5 years of experience with B2B, developer, or technical communities building owning and executing on a wide range of activations
- Technology savvy with managing different event, analytics, and registration platforms (Lu.ma, Splashthat, Eventbrite, Ti.to, etc)
- Proficient with GSuite, project management tooling, social media, LinkedIn, Zoom, Slack, CRMs, and other modern SaaS productivity tools
- Superb promotions management, prioritization, and stakeholder management abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail and a high level of accountability in a fast-paced environment

- Pay range is $110k - $150k based on experience with additional annual performance-based bonus
