Role Overview:
CAKE is seeking a dynamic and creative Events and Partnerships Associate to join our team. In this role, you’ll ideate, manage, and execute a variety of event types, including CAKE co-branded events, CAKE-owned events, and partner-supported events. You will also build and maintain partnerships with a range of brands to enhance the overall membership experience and secure sponsorships for our events. This role will work alongside marketing and report directly to the co-founder.
Key Responsibilities:
Event Management:
- Ideate, plan, and execute a range of events, from intimate gatherings to large-scale brand activations.
- Manage all elements of event logistics, including venue selection, vendor management, invitations, setup, and teardown.
- Ensure events align with CAKE’s brand image, delivering a cool, creative, and stylish experience.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to create unique, memorable experiences for our members.
- Manage the dollar - define and stick to defined events budget
- Host! Run on-site events, engaging with CAKE community members, VIPs/influencers, and brand partners
Partnership Development:
- Identify and build relationships with potential brand partners that align with CAKE’s values and community.
- Secure sponsorships and collaborations that enhance the member experience and add value to events.
- Negotiate partnership agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes for both CAKE and our partners.
Project Coordination:
- Maintain a meticulous event calendar, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Manage budgets and track expenses, ensuring cost-effective event execution.
- Analyze event outcomes, providing post-event reports and recommendations for future improvements.
Events Marketing:
- Support how events get messaged, captured, and shared across email, SMS, in-site, and on social mediain lockstep with marketing team
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in event management, partnership development roles
- Strong understanding of the fashion and beauty industry, with a pulse on what’s cool.
- Experience in securing and managing brand partnerships and sponsorships.
- Proven ability to manage all aspects of event planning, from concept to execution.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills - you love people!
- A self-starter who can be scrappy in a fast paced environment.
- Background in fashion, fashion PR, or membership organizations with complementary partnerships is a plus.
