We are seeking an experienced and visionary Brand Creative Director to lead the creative vision and execution for our direct-to-consumer (DTC) brand. This role is responsible for shaping the brand's identity, ensuring consistent and compelling storytelling across all touchpoints, and driving customer engagement and loyalty. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of brand-building in the DTC space, a passion for visual storytelling, and the ability to translate business objectives into memorable and impactful creative campaigns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Brand Strategy & Creative Vision: Develop and execute a compelling creative vision for the brand, ensuring alignment with the overall business and marketing strategies.
- Define and maintain brand guidelines that resonate with target audiences and differentiate the brand in the marketplace.
- Own the brand's visual and narrative identity across all platforms (digital, print, packaging, etc.).
- Creative Direction & Execution: Lead the creation of all brand creative, including digital content, product packaging, web design, social media assets, email campaigns, and advertising.
- Oversee the development of creative assets for multi-channel marketing campaigns, ensuring consistent messaging and visual appeal across channels.
- Collaborate with the marketing and e-commerce teams to deliver creative that drives brand awareness, engagement, and conversion.
- Content Creation & Storytelling: Develop innovative content strategies and lead the creative execution of photoshoots, videos, and campaigns that reflect the brand's voice and resonate with the customer base.
- Focus on crafting compelling visual narratives that connect emotionally with customers and build brand loyalty.
- Create dynamic and on-brand content for paid and organic channels, including social media, email, display, and influencer marketing.
- Team Leadership & Collaboration: Lead and inspire a team of designers, copywriters, photographers, and videographers, fostering creativity and collaboration.
- Provide clear creative direction, feedback, and mentorship to ensure high-quality output across all projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, e-commerce, product, and sales to ensure creative alignment with broader company goals.
- Brand Consistency & Evolution: Ensure all creative work consistently reflects the brand's identity, values, and goals.
- Maintain the balance between brand consistency and evolving creative expression to stay ahead of trends and competitors.
- Continuously push creative boundaries while maintaining a strong brand narrative.
- Digital & E-commerce Experience: Oversee the design and creative experience of the website, ensuring a cohesive visual identity that enhances the customer journey and drives conversions.
- Collaborate with UX/UI teams to create engaging and intuitive digital experiences that align with the brand's goals.
- New Product & Packaging Design: Lead the creative direction for new product launches and packaging design, ensuring cohesive integration with the brand’s visual identity.
- Collaborate with product and operations teams to deliver packaging that is both functional and aesthetically aligned with brand values.
- Trend Research & Innovation: Stay on top of industry trends, emerging design practices, and new creative technologies to keep the brand at the forefront of innovation.
- Bring fresh, forward-thinking ideas to the table to evolve the brand's creative presence.
- Creative Partnerships: Manage relationships with external creative agencies, freelancers, and partners as needed to ensure high-quality creative output.
- Lead vendor selection and contract negotiations for creative services and ensure efficient and cost-effective resource management.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 7+ years of experience in a creative leadership role, preferably within a DTC or e-commerce brand.
- Strong background in brand-building, creative direction, and digital storytelling.
- Creative Expertise: Exceptional visual and conceptual design skills with a strong portfolio showcasing successful brand campaigns, digital content, and packaging.
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or Figma.
- Leadership & Collaboration: Proven ability to lead and develop a creative team, as well as collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve business goals.
- Digital Savvy: Deep understanding of digital marketing channels, including social media, email, display, and video, with a focus on creating content that drives customer engagement and conversion.
- Brand Focused: Experience building and evolving brand identities, with a strong understanding of how to communicate brand values through creative design and storytelling.
- Strategic Mindset: Ability to translate business objectives into compelling creative strategies that elevate brand awareness and drive growth.
