Summary
Under the direction of the VP of Strategy and Development this position is responsible for streams of fundraising across the chapter's 51 county territory focused on corporate relations and development, inclusive of developing national partnerships, identifying in-kind partnerships, local and national cause marketing programs, corporate grants, Fund-A-Wish gifts, sponsorship, and employee giving. Total position budget line is approximately $1.3 million. Responsible for an overall strategic plan for a corporate giving and engagement integrated campaign model that supports the short- and long-term goals of assigned revenue streams. The position is responsible for developing a plan, breaking it into its constituent parts, execution and motivating staff and volunteers to reach their individual and group goals. Must be able to manage and execute multiple campaigns and initiatives simultaneously.
Responsibilities
Strategic Planning: Together with VP of Strategy and Development, participate in the organization's strategic planning process to ensure integration of fundraising, awareness and philanthropy.
Leadership & Management: Foster and support a culture of philanthropy across the organization. Ensure consistent administrative and management policies and procedures to support fundraising functions. Foster professionalism and productivity among self and staff.
Donor Research: Develop a list of prospective donors by identifying corporations and foundations with capacity and propensity to give. Work with CEO, VP, and Development to connect high level corporate prospects across chapter territory.
Relationship Building: Initiate and strengthen corporate and foundation relationships with key donors through systematic cultivation.
Corporate Campaigns: Design, implement, track and manage multiple fundraising initiatives and marketing campaigns with corporate partners. Build chapter wide annual giving campaigns. Fulfill organization deliverables and ensure maximum benefit to both parties.
Fundraising: Design and implement short- and long-term fundraising plans and budgets to support strategic goals.
Volunteers & Community Involvement: Develop and maintain relationships with volunteers for committee and leadership engagement to support initiatives.
Goals, Metrics & Evaluation: Conduct ongoing performance analysis of fundraising efforts, using appropriate standards, to identify opportunities, set priorities, resolve problems and inform future planning.
Ethics & Accountability: Execute appropriate gift acceptance policies that reflect legal and ethical standards.
The Wish Ball: Responsible for growing sponsorship of annual Wish Ball gala, currently raising $650,000. In partnership with the VP, cultivate and steward growth of new and current partners, act as lead development officer in supporting and driving key sponsorship goals and partner with gala committee.
Records Management: Responsible for directing appropriate data entry, utilizing Salesforce, regarding all prospect research, family relationships, community relationships, prospect visits and phone calls, invitations, Board and volunteer responsibilities and other items of note that could be helpful in fundraising.

- Grant writing, event planning, public relations and marketing skills
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications or similar.
- Minimum 5 years of diversified fundraising experience, preferably in corporate development and cause marketing
- Track record of success in all aspects of fundraising
- Experience soliciting and closing individual and/or corporate gifts of greater than $25,000+
- Extensive experience managing volunteers and committees
- Ability to work weekend and evening events/functions as required
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
