We are hiring a
Brand Marketing Manager to join our Brand Marketing team. This position reports to the Director of Brand Marketing and takes Away further by supporting ideation and implementation of strategies that put the brand at the forefront of the hearts and minds of consumers. The ideal candidate has consumer engagement experience and excellent communication skills, with the ability to foster close relationships with cross-functional partners.
This role will combine innovative thinking with the day-to-day coordination and execution of Away’s marketing calendar rollout—connecting our brand strategy and mission to creative execution, customer facing channels and identifying optimization opportunities.
What You’ll Do As The Brand Marketing Manager
- You’ll support the Director and VP of Brand in shaping the brand marketing vision and strategy with the objective of increased awareness and affinity
- You’ll craft and present creative briefs leveraging internal and cultural insights from brand, design, merchandising and channel teams
- You’ll lead daily marketing responsibilities, including but not limited to: building, maintaining and socializing the marketing calendar, cross-functional planning decks and communicating major marketing milestones and shifts to the integrated marketing team
- You’ll own the product marketing function with support from Director - developing product claims and storytelling angles for both new and core products as well as new product naming
- You’ll capture and distill cross-functional communication and feedback during planning and execution—gaining alignment where needed, and identifying and autonomously identifying next steps
- You’ll champion Away’s brand standards across all consumer touchpoints—evaluating execution plans and assets with a keen eye for detail while optimizing for the consumer experience
- You’ll assist in monitoring in-flight campaign performance—helping to quickly action optimization opportunities to increase effectiveness in key results
- You’ll lead post-campaign reporting—creating scorecards and cross-functional KPI reports to provide insights and learnings that help inform future strategies and marketing plans
Who You Are
- You have a minimum of 5 years of related experience
- You have excellent verbal and written communication skills to help articulate your vision
- You’re a strategic thinker that has the ability to develop ideas into actions that drive business results
- You have a consumer-first mindset, with a deep understand of their needs with a pulse on market and cultural trends
- You’re team oriented and thrive in building and maintaining relationships
- You have a bias for action and identify opportunities and chase into them to drive results
- You’re a curious and resourceful self-starter, with an ability to solve problems and seek new information
- You’re process-oriented and know that remaining organized is critical to the team and brands success
- You enjoy working in an entrepreneurial, dynamic working environment and being a part of creating work culture
- You’re proficient in Google Workspace, Excel, & Slack
- You’re creative and innovative; you love to build great new things that are fresh and unique while staying on brand
- Agile, and motivated by a fast-paced and ever changing environment

What We Offer
Our total rewards are inclusive of both compensation and benefits. What we offer within a salary range is dependent on a number of factors, including scope and qualifications for the role, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to other Away employees. Salary and benefit offerings are reviewed during phone screenings to ensure alignment.
- Compensation Range: $115,000.00 - $120,000.00 annually
- This role is eligible to participate in Away’s Annual Company Performance Incentive Bonus Plan, the terms of which are determined at the discretion of the company
- Equity Grant: commensurate with level determined at the discretion of the company

How We Work

This is a hybrid role that comes into our Soho, NYC office twice weekly on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The working hours are 9am-6pm ET.
