About the role:
Ndustrial is seeking a talented and experienced Director of Marketing to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial role in driving the growth and success of our company through strategic marketing initiatives. You will work closely with the executive and sales team to develop and execute innovative marketing strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
You will be responsible for overseeing the planning, development, and execution of our marketing campaigns, external communications, events, digital marketing efforts, and brand positioning. This includes conducting industrial vertical market research, analyzing industry trends, and identifying key target audiences to inform marketing strategies and tactics.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Product, Finance, and Customer Success to ensure marketing initiatives effectively support the overall business objectives. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing external vendors and agencies to ensure the successful implementation of marketing programs and initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with senior leadership and our Co-Founders to define a marketing vision with related goals and objectives that align with Ndustrial's mission and strategic roadmap for future growth
- Hire and empower a team of best-in-class marketing professionals; Manage day-to-day marketing team activities and own marketing requirements and brand guidelines for marketing tools, customer-facing content, and sales collateral
- Lead the development and execution of product marketing strategies based on thorough market research and consumer insights to drive product adoption, growth, and brand awareness
- Explore and execute innovative new marketing strategies outside the confines of the typical marketing playbook
- Design and execute initiatives that contribute to long-term operational excellence, ensuring key projects have clear budgets, milestones, long and short term success measures, and operational plans
- Oversight of ongoing comprehensive competitive analysis to identify market trends, competitive positioning, and opportunities for differentiation. Identify opportunities and adjust marketing strategies accordingly
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, sales, and customer support, to launch new products and optimize marketing campaigns and product positioning across various channels including digital, social media, events, and traditional marketing
- Develop and oversee targeted marketing campaigns that leverage data-driven insights to effectively reach and engage key customer segments
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to inform strategic planning and product innovation
- Drive thought leadership initiatives, including content marketing, industry events, analyst relations, and public relations
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments, regulations and best practices, regularly sharing insights and recommendations with the team and leadership
- Manage external vendors and agencies to ensure successful implementation of marketing programs
- Lead the company in landing industry awards and recognition through annual reports and rankings participation
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Marketing Director or similar role, preferably in a B2B technology/software or startup; energy experience is a big plus
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing strategic marketing plans and driving measurable results
- Experience managing a team and guiding their professional growth
- In-depth knowledge of various marketing channels and best practices
- Strong analytical skills and ability to use data-driven insights to optimize marketing strategies and campaigns
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Solid understanding of digital marketing, product marketing, SEO, and social media marketing
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
- MBA or advanced degree in marketing or related discipline is a plus
