Summary Description:
Reporting to the CEO, NORCAM, the Vice President (VP) Digital is a cross-functional leader who is responsible for maintaining and optimizing the strategic growth of Lacoste’s online business. The VP will lead the Digital strategy for the US, Canada and Mexico and is responsible for various facets of online operations, business planning, and marketing strategies. This position reports to the Chief Commercial Officer and will lead a team of approximately 15 people including 5 direct reports.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Define strategic growth plan for NORCAM digital flagship, focusing on third party tools to drive onsite personalization, oversee merchandising strategy and key growth opportunities. Provide feedback and recommendation to the Leadership team on a regular basis.
- Analyze business fundamentals and work cross-functionally to ensure the business meets its KPI’s and P&L targets.
- Develop merchandising strategy based on product attributes, user behavior and sales trends to drive conversion, UPT and AOV while maintaining brand image and company goals.
- Launch onsite A/B and multivariate tests and segmentation strategies to improve site experience. Liaise with CRM and Marketing teams to develop personalized experiences for specific segments.
- Identify, track, and resolve technical issues within our platform as well as propose and thoroughly test new functionality while partnering with release and project management teams.
- Oversee the creation and launch of our app in NORCAM.
- Conceive, develop, and execute comprehensive programs to launch and grow the Marketplace and Pure Player business.
- Responsible for strategy, management, forecasts, and results including short and long-term objectives, customer metrics and overall performance.
- Create and develop cross functional partnerships with CRM, Marketing, Merchandising Buying and Planning, Finance, and Supply Chain both locally and globally.
- Lead and develop a high performing team and provide feedback and guidance regularly, provide opportunities for career development.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- BA/BS preferred
- 10+ years of relevant experience in ecommerce
- At least 8 years’ experience leading and developing teams
- Experience with Demandware (Salesforce Commerce Cloud), Shopify, Magento or other ecommerce platforms
- Global fashion or beauty experience a plus
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral and high attention to detail
- Proven multi-tasker that can manage several projects at once under tight deadlines and accommodate rapid changes
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
- An entrepreneurial spirit with the operational skills to ensure self-directed projects and ideas are seen through to execution
- A people leader with experience managing a team and hiring, developing, motivating, and retaining talent
