About the Job
Glamnetic is looking for a creative, passionate, and hardworking Social Media Coordinator who will focus on content for the brand’s social media platforms. We are looking for someone that has experience filming & editing videos, is comfortable being on camera, has a pulse on current social trends both in and out of the beauty industry, and is able to implement effective social media strategies that grow and build loyalty in the community while working in a fast paced startup environment. This person should be quick on their feet in coming up with creative concepts and be willing to do what it takes to get the best content. This position is fully remote but we prefer someone local to LA who can shoot content with the team in LA, attend photoshoots as needed and attend meetings hosted in LA on a monthly basis or more frequently, as needed.
Responsibilities
TikTok
- Participate in brainstorming sessions to come up with unique ways to build brand awareness and increase engagement on TikTok
- Develop innovative and creative strategies to increase brand’s exposure and audience engagement
- Assist in creating a content calendar specifically for TikTok and post engaging, viral-worthy videos regularly
- Post 2x a day
- Monitor and report on competitor activity, TikTok trends, relevant industry trends, events and opportunities to appropriate teams
- Film, edit and promote short video clips to support social media campaigns
- Host TikTok Shop lives
- Analyze content our audience is responding to and move the brand’s profile in that direction
- Create content that encourages interaction, connects with the viewer and adds value
- Other duties as assigned
Instagram Feed
- Source photo and video content from all social media outlets (such as tagged photos, DMs, tweets, and Youtube videos)
- Manipulate, cut-down or edit photos and videos in Photoshop or iMovie for socials as needed (mainly IG Feed or IG Story)
- Create ad hoc social media graphics/posts and memes. Ideally someone who can be comfortable on camera and can film or shoot & edit content themselves.
- Curate Instagram content in feed planner in alignment with brand’s style aesthetic to post on Instagram feed
- Post on IG feed 2x a day
- Post on IG Feed around optimal posting schedule, considering audience traffic and customer engagement
- Collaborate with social & marketing team for executing launches and ongoing social needs
- Keep up to date on social media trends and report to the team
- Keep track and meet the OKRS (objectives and key results) set by leadership and offer suggestions for improvement
- Other duties as assigned
Additional Platforms
- Other duties as assigned on Snapchat and YouTube
Additional requirements:
- LA local so can shoot content in LA, attend photoshoot and meetings at the office as needed
Qualifications
- Preferred: A degree in Marketing or other related degree OR at least 2 years of experience in social media coordination or management
- Preferred: LA local so can attend photoshoot, events and shoot local content as needed
- Preferred: experience with TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat and YouTube
- Comfortable on camera, and preferably comfortable talking on lives
- 3+ years of filming, video editing and directing experience
- Must be a fast learner, quick thinker, and versatile & be able to wear many hats as needed
- Photoshop, Final Cut, Adobe Premiere Pro and other video/content editing software a plus
- Quick turnaround time in video and content editing
- A creative mindset that synchronizes with the brand aesthetic to create fun and engaging content
- Organized, efficient and excellent coordination skills
- Collaborative mindset
- Enthusiasm and passion for social media curation, creation, and posting
- Can do & hungry attitude is A MUST
- Strong grasp of social media, digital marketing and online content creation
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Long periods of time on feet shooting, or monitoring a shoot
