Georgia State University is seeking a dynamic and strategic communications professional to fill the role of Director of Enrollment Management Marketing and Communications. This position will provide leadership in communication to our new and continuing student populations. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in advancing the institution’s goals related to admissions and student success by developing and implementing comprehensive communication strategies that engage, inform, and support students throughout their academic journey and through the admissions funnel using Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Slate CRM.

HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO
· Provide strategic direction and oversight for all marketing plans, including the planning and implementation of strategic marketing communications using GSU’s CRM systems—Slate and Salesforce Marketing Cloud. This responsibility involves collaboration with the Sr. Associate Vice President for Admissions and Communications and the Director of Undergraduate Admissions. It relies on audience segmentation and message strategy development for new and continuing students. The Director will oversee the use of Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Slate CRM to increase and convert contacts through the admissions funnel, including e-communications, and generate data-driven models that inform enrollment management goals.
· Work closely with Public Relations and Marketing Communications to ensure consistency in messaging to prospective students across web/online, email, social media, and print formats. Collaborate with enrollment and student success offices to assist in the communications plans within the CRM system. Additionally, develop outcomes and profile pieces for furthering recruitment goals, and work with PRMC for media planning and buying, including the production and placement of media advertising and evaluation of the effectiveness of each campaign via analytics.
· Engage and support continuing students at Georgia State University, utilizing a combination of process-driven messaging, brand perception, and collecting important information about their experience. The strategy aims to foster a sense of belonging, provide relevant information, and gather valuable feedback to enhance the student experience.
· Identify and engage domestic and international pools of student prospects and admitted students using the Slate CRM system to convert students through the admissions funnel. Collaborate with the Director for Undergraduate Admissions to develop and implement communication plans for new student recruitment.
· Provide leadership around training and implementation of marketing tools (Main Stay, Slate, and Salesforce Marketing Cloud). Work with existing GSU units including, but not limited to, Financial Aid, International Student Scholar Services, Study Abroad, Housing and New Student Orientation, and Public Relations and Marketing Communications to ensure coordination of recruitment and to facilitate the enrollment process for new and continuing students.
· Supervise marketing staff and coordinating human resources activities, including creating/modifying position descriptions, performance appraisals, hiring, staff training, discipline, conflict resolution, and termination of employees, is a critical part of the role. Maintain materials for use in policy and procedure manuals and training documents, and have knowledge of campus human resources policies, procedures, and employment development opportunities.
· Manage all vendor relationships aimed at driving student recruitment and enrollment.
Essential Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to demonstrate excellent, effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven experience in strategic communications, marketing, and enrollment management.
- Extensive experience developing comprehensive communication flows.
- Proficiency in using CRM systems, specifically Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Slate.
- Ability to develop strong working relationships with various constituencies.
- Firm understanding of web technologies and analytics, including social networking, social media tools, and current communication trends (including video and mobile).
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to generate and interpret analytics.
