ABC Audio is expanding its award-winning podcast portfolio and is seeking an experienced Manager, Audio Operations to help drive audience growth and business expansion. This role requires a results-driven professional adept at managing content, maximizing audience reach, and collaborating effectively with marketing and sales teams. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a comprehensive understanding of on-demand audio are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Director of Podcast Programming to develop and execute strategic plans and engagement strategies for new show and season launches, as well as special programming, across various content verticals including True Crime, News & Politics, History, and Documentary storytelling
- Coordinate and executive feed drops, promotional swaps, and co-marketing initiatives with internal and external partners, such as third-party publishers
- Contribute to the creation of key visual assets, audio/video promos, digital and social media content, event materials, event signage and giveaways and other creative resources
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of content through detailed analysis and reporting
- Assist production teams on an as-needed basis
Required Qualifications:
- At least 4 years of relevant professional experience in audio operations
- Exceptional knowledge of the podcast industry, programming, and trends
- Sharp attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work and communicate effectively under pressure
Required Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
The hiring range for this position in New York is $86,400 to $118,600 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
