If selected for this role, you will report to the Social Media Marketing Strategy Manager. This exciting internship is a full-time, six-month commitment in the Glendale, CA area from
January 2025 to June 2025.
What You Will Do
Are you someone who loves social media and blending strategy with creativity? Do you have, an open mind, and a passion for learning? As an intern, you will build innovative and conceptual social media ideas to support Disney’s consumer products business. You will participate in ideation sessions with the marketing team to develop plans/calendars. You will have the opportunity to show your creative thinking skills and social media savvy while focusing on our YouTube channels, with the expanded opportunity to contribute to other social platforms including TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook. You will even get the chance to show off your creative skills, through content creation for our socials firsthand!
On any given day you might:
- Assist with marketing strategies and go-to-market plan development to deliver on business goals
- Ideate content concepts for Disney products on YouTube and analyze performance
- Assist in evaluating campaign creative and track approvals/status updates with agencies
- Work with teams to deliver assets, campaign pitch kits, toolkits, and content following brand guidelines and maintaining updates
- Assist in developing materials for creative/strategic presentations and coordinate project management/ad hoc requests from leadership
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Actively engaged on a wide array of social media platforms with knowledge of content formats, functionality, and the latest trends, with a dedicated focus on YouTube
- Marketing skills to develop strategic feedback, business rationale, and marketing communication plans
- Experience in tactical strategy design and project management with strong partner and relationship-building skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Keynote, video editing, developing graphics, and the ability to creatively improve social content formats
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with navigating YouTube Studio and compiling video analytics
- Experience and proficiency with Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator
- Previous work experience with social marketing entertainment brands or experiences, marketing strategy, consumer packaged goods, advertising agency, and/or brand management
- Experience crafting strategic roadmaps and coordinated communication plans
Education
- Be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) before participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at the time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
- Currently enrolled senior, or graduated within the past 6 months, majoring in marketing, communications, business, public relations, or a related field
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess unrestricted work authorization
- Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program

Additional Information
- The approximate dates of this internship are January 2025 - June 2025, in Glendale, CA
- Ability to work full-time hours (approximately 40 hours per week) Monday - Friday, for the duration of the internship with possible evenings and weekends if necessary
- Being able to provide own housing and reliable transportation to/from work is required
