We’re looking for a savvy, creative and resourceful marketing professional to help us do this.
The Marketing Manager will execute and project manage the marketing and communications plans for the business, including managing our year-round calendar of content, planning the development and execution of campaigns, and tracking and assessing engagement.
Reports to: TCG Principal
Location: Hybrid, remote but preferably based in DC-Metro area
Structure: Full-time
Compensation: $80,000-$95,000
Responsibilities:
Marketing & Communications
- Develop our marketing strategy and a communications calendar and story bank (website, newsletter and social media)
- Manage and lead development and execution of the marketing/communications plan
- Design and create impactful stories about our work, people and ideas that align with brand messages and assets to raise visibility
- Own our style guide, building on brand assets developed in our recent rebranding and enhanced to support our new strategic plan
- Develop designs and execute website updates, social media content, case study development, and other marketing collateral
- Lead email marketing efforts, including content development, list coordination, and engagement tracking
- Lead social media marketing across multiple channels and platforms, including photo and video asset creation and licensing (budget may be available to engage graphic design support)
- Track and report on content marketing performance metrics for all platforms (social, email, websites, advertising, etc.) and provide insights and recommendations for optimization
Business Development & Client Support
- Collaborate with the Principal in telling TCG’s story and sharing our capabilities through op-eds, conference presentations, and other writing/speaking engagements
- Co-develop thought leadership around TCG’s expertise and emerging capabilities: collective impact and community engagement
- Provide narrative development advisory and communication planning support on select client engagements
Ideal Candidates
- Energetic and team player, problem solver and figure-outer
- Experienced At managing a brand and running marketing campaigns (social media, email)
- Professional storyteller, able to identify current narratives, retell stories through different lenses, and create compelling stories for specific impact
- Familiar with or able to learn the key elements of our business (management consulting) and embody our brand to guide relevant and consistent content
- Excellent at managing projects effectively, juggling multiple workflows, and working under tight timeframes
- Highly-skilled communicator, able to convey ideas clearly, with strong interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with strong writing, editing and proofreading skills, ensuring consistency with our brand voice across all materials
- Strong content creation and graphic design skills preferred and/or ability to manage design consultants
- Experienced in or familiar with Google suite, Microsoft suite, Webflow/SquareSpace for website maintenance, Mailchimp/Constant Contact, Monday.com for CRM, and Canva design suite
