My client, a late stage start up company, in the orthopedic space, is seeking a Senior Director of Marketing. The qualified individual will have experience in orthopedics, people management, and a blend of tactile and strategic marketing experience.
Job Summary:
The Sr. Director of Marketing will lead a cross-functional marketing strategy to drive growth and brand presence, focusing on five core areas:
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards in all marketing activities.
- Create a high-performance team culture focused on talent development and accountability.
- Collaborate closely with sales teams to gather customer insights and drive market-driven product development.
- Align marketing investments and training programs with commercialization goals and safe product use.
- Oversee product marketing, brand positioning, and launch readiness for all new products and technologies.
- Manage P&L and budget allocation for marketing initiatives, ensuring profitability and effective pricing strategies.
- Lead third-party relationships related to PR, creative agencies, and digital content.
- Establish and implement QMS-supportive processes for clinical data gathering, surgeon feedback, and case studies.
- Partner with sales leadership to execute the annual marketing plan, supporting revenue and market share growth.
- Facilitate cross-functional communication with R&D, patient solutions, and marketing to represent customer needs effectively.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in orthopedics, medical device marketing
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience with P&L and budget management, demonstrating strong financial acumen.
- Creative and strategic thinker with the ability to develop campaigns that resonate with diverse audiences.
- Strong leadership skills with experience building high-performing, results-oriented teams.
