Opened in Fall 2022 on the Upper East Side of New York City, Sage + Sound is a wellness destination that offers a variety of curated programming, products and self-care services aimed to elevate one’s well-being by enabling individuals to explore and simplify their own self-care routine while engaging with others who have the same goal.

What We’re Looking For
Sage + Soundis looking for an experienced, customer-centric and results-oriented marketing leader to develop and execute marketing strategies that will enable Sage + Sound to drive brand awareness and growth. As Head of Marketing, you will lead a team focused on maximizing impact through digital channels (Paid Social, Paid Search and Display, SMS, Email, SEO, Emerging Media, etc), offline channels and CRM. You will focus on developing a comprehensive marketing strategy and executing campaigns that engage and attract our target audience. This is a hands-on position ideal for a creative and results-driven marketing leader who is excited to contribute to the success of a growing brand.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of building a brand and the use of data to help guide decision-making. The ability to operate effectively under tight deadlines with rapidly shifting priorities while being flexible is key.
This role will report directly to the Co-Founder /Co-CEO and collaborate with key internal and external partners to effectively conceive, plan and execute marketing campaigns.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Develop, oversee and execute marketing strategies + brand assets that will drive brand awareness, conversion, retention and acquisition. Manage marketing budget and deliver on target. Put the customer at the center of everything we do at Sage + Sound. Help create and implement marketing processes based on business needs.
- Brand Development: Lead and drive the operational delivery of brand strategy, inclusive of communications campaigns. Promote the brand identity, ensuring consistency across all marketing channels and customer touchpoints – including monthly campaign planning, ideation and execution.
- Digital Marketing: Lead digital marketing efforts, including social media, email, SEO, and online advertising, to enhance visibility and engagement. Manage the internal marketing team and agency partners, ensuring strategies for Paid Social/Display, Paid Search, SEO, Email, and SMS align with overall brand objectives. Collaborate with CRM and Finance to analyze customer segments and behaviors, developing targeted acquisition and retention programs. Work with CRM, The Study, and Operations teams to design surveys that improve customer experience and create omnichannel campaigns that integrate local markets, online platforms, and in-person interactions.
- Content Creation: Lead the creation of compelling content that communicates our services and brand values, including website copy, blog posts, newsletters, and promotional materials. Partner with Graphic Designer, eCommerce, Social Media/Content and The Study team to define and implement campaigns that align and contribute to business objectives.
- Market Research: Conduct market research and analysis to understand customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape, using insights to inform marketing strategies. Observe and analyze market + competitor trends, and white space opportunities.
- Performance Analysis: Leverage data, metrics and consumer trends to drive actionable insights and optimize marketing campaigns. Own and drive the analysis of all marketing campaigns based on clearly defined KPIs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5-10 years related marketing experience preferably with an omnichannel (eCommerce + Stores) high growth brand
- Demonstrated experience in successfully conceiving and executing innovative and unique campaign experiences
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced startup environment
- Strong understanding of digital marketing channels, their features and best practices
- Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, communication, and the ability to prioritize
- Demonstrated experience in the ability to positively and creatively influence change and direction
