We are seeking an experienced Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to lead our marketing efforts, build and scale a high-performance marketing team, and drive the go-to-market strategy for our B2B SaaS products. Key Responsibilities:
1. Marketing Leadership and Strategy:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive, data-driven marketing strategy to drive growth and brand awareness for the B2B healthcare and clinical trial industries.
- Lead the end-to-end marketing strategy, from demand generation to brand positioning, content marketing, and customer lifecycle management.
- Drive go-to-market strategies for new product features and releases, ensuring they align with market needs and customer pain points.
- Define and monitor key performance metrics (KPIs) to ensure the marketing team is meeting goals and objectives.
2. Team Building and Development:
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, and data-driven decision making.
- Recruit, retain, and develop top-tier marketing talent, ensuring team members have the necessary skills and resources to succeed.
- Encourage professional development and continuous learning, enabling the team to stay on top of industry trends and emerging technologies.
3. Brand and Market Positioning:
- Strengthen brand presence in the B2B SaaS space, specifically targeting clinical research organizations (CROs), pharmaceutical companies, and healthcare providers.
- Develop compelling messaging that speaks to the unique value proposition of our patient recruitment software, differentiating us from competitors.
- Oversee the creation of high-quality marketing content, including case studies, white papers, blog posts, webinars, and presentations, to engage prospects and establish thought leadership.
4. Demand Generation and Lead Nurturing:
- Drive lead generation and conversion through innovative digital marketing strategies, including SEO, SEM, email campaigns, webinars, and social media marketing.
- Manage and optimize the lead funnel to convert leads into qualified opportunities and customers, working closely with the sales team to ensure smooth handoffs and a seamless sales process.
- Utilize marketing automation tools and CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) to track, analyze, and optimize campaigns and lead nurturing efforts.
5. Partnerships and Industry Relations:
- Build and maintain relationships with key industry stakeholders, including pharmaceutical companies, clinical research organizations, industry influencers, and healthcare networks.
- Represent at industry conferences, webinars, and networking events to promote our brand and drive business development.
- Identify and capitalize on strategic partnerships and co-marketing opportunities with complementary companies and organizations.
6. Data-Driven Decision Making and Reporting:
- Analyze market trends, customer insights, and competitive landscape to inform marketing strategies and tactics.
- Use data and analytics to measure campaign performance, generate insights, and continuously improve marketing ROI.
- Report regularly to the executive team and board on marketing performance, budget allocation, and key business metrics.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in B2B SaaS marketing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Experience in healthcare or clinical trials is a plus, but not required.
- Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in building and leading high-performing marketing teams, scaling SaaS products, and driving demand generation and lead conversion.
- Leadership Skills: Strong people management and mentorship skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to deliver results.
- Strategic Mindset: Ability to think strategically about business and customer needs, while being hands-on in execution and day-to-day operations.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with marketing automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo), CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Tableau).
- Strong Communicator: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messaging and effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Analytical Acumen: Strong analytical skills, with experience using data to drive decision-making and optimize marketing campaigns for maximum impact.
- Industry Knowledge: A deep understanding of the B2B SaaS landscape, patient recruitment, clinical trials, or healthcare technology is highly desirable.
