VP Business and Product Strategy- Wealth and Investing
As the VP of Business and Product Strategy for the Wealth & Investing consumer brands, your primary focus will be developing, overseeing, creating, and maintaining a roadmap with holistic revenue-driving initiatives. These initiatives aim to grow and engage the audiences of Barron's, MarketWatch, and Investor's Business Daily. You will be instrumental in creating new product ideas and ideas for critical enhancements to current products that drive audience and engagement, working in partnership with product management and engineering, editorial, and subscription marketing teams. This is a highly collaborative and visible role that will work with multiple stakeholders to identify growth opportunities and measure success. Your work in this role will be instrumental in shaping the future of our consumer brands.
This role will represent Wealth & Investing across critical, cross-department programs, including—but not limited to—audience and partnership development task forces, rapid business explorations, and other projects that drive growth. This role should also develop a reporting cadence that is consistent and transparent across the organization, tracking the progress of initiatives in meeting business goals.
Responsibilities
- Develop the strategic roadmap for Wealth and Investing consumer brands, working across editorial, product, technology, marketing, etc.
- Align roadmap to key product initiatives that drive business goals of growing and engaging audiences in service of subscription and overall revenue goals.
- Oversee audience development and engagement for Wealth and Investing brands, focusing on bringing in non-subscriber traffic and increasing their engagement on-site.
- Represent Wealth and Investing consumer brands in cross-functional meetings, task forces, and business strategy explorations.
- Led new business strategy initiatives that can expand the breadth and depth of our product portfolio from ideation to execution.
- Develop an operating rhythm for reporting success.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in business and audience strategy in the media/subscription industry.
- Experience working across multiple revenue streams, including subscriptions and advertising.
- Deep understanding of audience data and analytics with some experience in SEO.
- Demonstrated critical thinking skills and strong problem-solving skills.
- High results orientation and ability to effectively juggle and prioritize many competing demands
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as stakeholder management
- Experience with Adobe Analytics is preferred but not required.
