Position Summary
The Vice President of Marketing will be responsible for overseeing and executing all aspects of the organization’s marketing strategy. This includes managing digital and brand marketing initiatives, developing a comprehensive funnel marketing and SEO strategy, and supporting corporate branding within a third-party management context. The ideal candidate will bring extensive marketing experience in the self-storage and/or commercial real estate industries, ensuring the development of tailored strategies that align with the organization’s ambitious growth goals. This leader will play a key role in acquiring new business and managing investor communications.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy and Execution
- Develop and execute an integrated marketing strategy to drive customer acquisition, brand awareness, and corporate growth.
- Lead funnel marketing efforts, including campaign planning, optimization, and performance tracking.
- Build and internalize an SEO strategy to achieve top-tier online visibility and lead generation.
- Manage all social media channels, digital campaigns, and the company website, ensuring consistent and compelling messaging.
Corporate Branding and Communication
- Enhance and manage the organization’s brand identity, ensuring alignment with core values and vision.
- Lead the development of marketing collateral, including pitch decks, case studies, and investor communications.
- Act as a key partner in corporate branding efforts for third-party management services to attract and retain clients.
Entrepreneurial Initiatives
- Explore opportunities to establish a marketing vertical, offering services to other companies in complementary industries.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop innovative marketing programs that differentiate the organization from competitors.
Team Leadership and Collaboration
- Hire, mentor, and manage a high-performing marketing team as the organization grows.
- Work closely with operations, IT, sales, and capital markets teams to ensure alignment on strategic goals and priorities.
- Contribute to strategic decision-making, including market positioning and growth initiatives.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field; MBA preferred.
- Experience: 8+ years of progressive marketing experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
- Must have marketing experience in the self-storage and/or commercial real estate industries.
- Experience in third-party management or service-based business models is a strong plus.
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in SEO, digital marketing tools, analytics platforms, and CRM systems.
