In this crucial role you will lead brand strategy development and execution of advertising programs, including the strategic approach, research, creative development, & tactical execution of consumer advertising, social media and additional corporate marketing initiatives. You will also partner with the business to develop strategy and execute business-to-business (B2B) advertising campaigns.

What You'll Be Doing
- Stays abreast of media and advertising trends and develops recommendations/strategies with regards to evolving media and how they might be utilized to support the Lincoln brand strategy.
- Leads the development of the advertising and brand strategy for the Lincoln Financial Group with the goal of building awareness, familiarity and favorability among Lincoln's core consumer and business-to-business target audiences.
- Oversees the development and management of advertising programs that support Lincoln's various business lines and ensure consistency with the Lincoln Financial brand strategy.
- Ensures support is provided for Business Marketing B2B advertising programs, including access to Lincoln’s creative agency where appropriate and coordination of the media buys.
- Oversees the development and management of Lincoln's social media program. Collaborates with stakeholders in Marketing as well as business unit partners to align and integrate social media programs as part of larger brand and marketing campaigns.
- Leads brand voice implementation across a variety of sites to ensure a consistent brand experience, language & tone.
- Oversees research programs, including quantitative and qualitative measures that help shape the overall advertising & brand strategies as well as provide assessment on the brand's health.
- Evolves brand creative parameters to build an emotional connection between Lincoln, its products, and customers to differentiate Lincoln in the market and sustain loyalty.
- Develops an effective media strategy that leverages traditional and non-traditional channels (e.g. social, digital, content) to ensure that target audiences are reached efficiently and deliver upon the goals for the brand.
- Oversees external brand agencies and directs brand representation through various activities & media.
- Manages agency relationships (agency of record, media planning/buying, digital, and social media agencies) to ensure that the advertising strategy and execution are strategically linked to the overall enterprise objectives.
- Collaborates with stakeholders in Marketing in each business as well as business unit partners to understand overall marketing issues and ensures that programs are aligned and integrated with overall marketing strategy.
- Manages team(s) to help each member acquire and develop the appropriate skills and critical project-based experiences to foster their continued professional development.
- Leads the advertising creation and execution process with direct management of the partner agencies to ensure strong collaboration and integration across advertising and other communications channels.
- Responsible for developing and monitoring departmental budget and providing recommendations on how the budget should be allocated.
What We’re Looking For
Must-Haves
- 12+ Years experience of advertising on marketing experience that directly aligns to the specific responsibilities for this role
- 5+ Years of senior management experience in a large complex organization including influencing senior management and critical stakeholder responsibility.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills
- Ability to adapt quickly in a changing work environment

The pay range for this position is $150,100 - $273,300 with
anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
