Position Overview:
We are seeking an innovative and results-oriented Marketing Director who brings a unique combination of experience from both large corporate environments and dynamic startups. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in retail, beauty, or fashion, paired with a genuine passion for clean beauty and a proven track record of driving substantial growth. This individual should excel in fast-paced settings, demonstrate a “can-do” attitude, and effectively manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining organized processes. Exceptional collaboration and communication skills are essential, as this leader will work closely with various teams to ensure the successful execution of compelling marketing campaigns that resonate with our audience. This role reports to the VP of Marketing and Digital.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee campaign ideation, strategy, and execution for various marketing initiatives, ensuring an omnichannel experience.
- Led a team overseeing social, SMS, email marketing, store marketing, influencer, and external PR teams to enhance brand awareness and drive growth.
- Collaborate with over 120 brands to support their marketing strategies within our stores.
- Manage the customer journey, CRM, and loyalty program to enhance customer retention and engagement.
- Leverage co-op marketing opportunities to maximize partnerships.
- Manage all external partners involved in paid media to ensure effective and efficient marketing spend.
- Drive digital marketing channels, SEM, Email Marketing, Social Media, and Paid Media.
- Embrace experimentation by testing new ideas for further growth.
- Guide the team in briefing creative talent to bring campaign visions to life, fostering innovative and impactful content.
- Work closely with cross-functional partners, including digital, creative, merchandising, and planning teams, to ensure cohesive brand messaging across channels.
- Foster a collaborative environment that nurtures creativity and strategic thinking.
- Maintain organized workflows amidst the fast-paced dynamics of a startup while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of marketing experience, preferably in the beauty or fashion industry.
- Proven people leader.
- Experience with Shopify, GA, and comfortable learning new tools
- Proven success in driving growth and executing effective marketing campaigns.
- Deep understanding of clean beauty principles and a passion for the industry.
- Exceptional organizational skills with acute attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and make structured sense of complex ideas and projects.
- Strong collaborative spirit, a “can-do” attitude, and a willingness to roll up your sleeves to achieve results.
- Capable of working effectively under pressure and managing competing priorities.
- Great presentation skills.
