Director, Public Relations

Description of Responsibilities:
Oversee and direct all US press, digital content/relationships and public relations activities for all Giorgio Armani Corporation brands and businesses. Increase brand awareness, collection launches, support business goals through securing stories, editorial and content through all media outlets both in print & digital, content creators, industry key opinion leaders as well as up and coming influencers/stylists in all categories. Develop and implement PR strategies to raise awareness, appeal to a younger & new audience and create relevance for the Giorgio Armani brands and product offerings. Monitor and continually build on the strategic vision of public relations as per both the local business strategies and GA SpA public relations directives. Implement effective public relations plans for all brands, new collection launches and special projects/events, as well as VIP coverage placements both in print and digital.
Overview of Critical Duties:
- Develop and nurture strategic relationships with all press contacts – digital & print, as well as the relevant and up & coming opinion leaders in the industry
- Ensure impactful product placement, covers, feature stories within all publications & digital – all brands
- Manage editorial press of all brands and collections
- Define, develop and present public relations initiatives – all brands
- Implement tactical plans to secure brand position
- Collaborate with the Milan HQ and other international press offices to increase efficiency and proper distribution of samples to all prioritized publications
- Coordinate and secure press for special events
- Coordinate with VIP to secure celebrity coverage
- Strategize with the business side as well as the communication team to create 360, storytelling, unified and cohesive message for each brand
BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:
- Computer proficiency (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint)
- College degree required
- At least 10 years of experience in the field
The appointed candidate will be offered a salary within the range of USD $130,000.00 - $150,000.00 based on experience, plus the opportunity for a bonus, a comprehensive benefits package including: medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, various paid time off programs, employee discount/perks and retirement plans with employer contributions.
