WHAT DO WE DO
Quartyard is home to an event venue, El Comal eatery, full service beer garden, art space and coffee shop. Quartyard has remained in line with its original goal of activating vacant urban land into a vibrant outdoor community space. Quartyard plays host to a number of cultural events, outdoor concerts, private events, street markets and community activities. Quartyard’s utilization of sustainable and innovative design offers guests a unique outdoor experience unlike any other.
THE ROLE
The ideal candidate for this role should have strong communication and organizational skills; with experience in event management, proven marketing and promotions experience, digital content production, basic design experience, strength in copywriting, and knowledge of local and national music and arts is a major plus.
We are looking for someone personable, accountable, with a great sense of humor, endless curiosity, and ample relevant experience.
This is a paid, full-time. This is an on-site position with some remote office hour flexibility.
You'll report directly to the Managing Partner of Quartyard.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Marketing and Events:
- Lead marketing and sales management for Quartyard's event calendar
- Manage Wordpress sites including: QuartyardSD.com, EastVillageOktobefest.com, CityLights.Space
- Manage E-Mail Marketing accounts with email campaigns and quality control
- Manage the web developer team alongside the Managing Partner
- Paid ads campaign for ticket sales and lead generation (mostly Meta and Instagram)
- Support expense management, budgeting and expense categorization
- Own and manage our admin accounts in Notion, GDrive, Wordpress, etc.
- Manage ticketing platforms and all event pages and listings (Eventbrite, Resident Advisor, etc.)
- Support calls, next steps, and project management for the CEO
- General office management and one-off errands and requests from bank errands to Party City shopping, print shops, PR opportunities, networking events
- Manage merchandise requests & fulfillment
- Support file management and organization across Google Drive
- Lead research for new projects, brands, and competitors etc.
- Content creation and management of social media accounts (Instagram mostly, some Facebook, some TikTok)
- Basic graphic design skills (Canva OK) and ability to contract and work effectively with designers for digital marketing (photo and video)
- Strong to understanding of optimal graphic sizes, quality photos, and photo galleries
- Excellent Copy writing on social media and email campaigns
Event Production:
- Support production needs for our events. This includes:
- Communicate marketing and promotions with local and national talent
- Supporting and leading cultural bearers, volunteers, and creatives to bring gravity to events
- Help create and maintain community network with cultural stakeholders and creatives alike
- Support new event ideation and execution
- Support the management of invoices, collecting of W9s, and contracting with local artists
- Manage the photography sharing process - coordinating with event photographers and making sure photos are uploaded
- Event marketing requests - take care of one-off requests for promo codes, guest list tickets, etc.
- Event photos management - Manage the collection from photographers and sharing with our social team
Requirements

- Organization, collaboration, and clear communication are your JAM
- Deep understanding with Wordpress and Mailchimp are a must, and ability to learn new skills efficiently is important
- You have a bachelor's degree or above
- You love to triple bid any invoice
- You have experience adapting to new marketing and technology trends
- You have experience in managing projects with designers, videographers, and creatives
- You are excellent in Eventbrite, Excel, GSuite, and other organizational tools
