YOUR ROLE
As the Head of Communications and Marketing at CEVA Logistics, you will lead Corporate, Digital, Marketing, and Internal Communications across North America. Your primary goal is to enhance CEVA Logistics’ image and reputation, positioning the company as a business leader and employer of choice. You will manage communication strategies, support business growth, and foster employee engagement within the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and manage CEVA Logistics’ image and reputation plan to increase awareness and understanding of the company’s activities.
- Leverage global external communication efforts to position CEVA as a business leader and employer of choice.
- Contribute to global initiatives and manage regional employee communications to boost motivation and a sense of belonging.
- Identify media opportunities, lead generation campaigns, and manage crisis communications.
- Provide communication guidance and coaching to the Region Managing Director and Leadership team.
- Define and execute marketing campaigns, programs, and initiatives across multiple channels.
- Support M&A activities.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Provide shared services to Global CEVA’s communications actions:
- Write / translate editorial content / Optimize the editorial landscape through an identified set.
- Contribute to CEVA Marketing and Marcom contents.
- Bring insights to CEVA Logistics global and transverse initiatives.
- Participate to team meeting, share reporting, budget and actions follow-up.
Propose and implement a regional communications strategy, agreed with Chief Communications Officer and the Communications Steerco:
- Communications plan within communication guidelines (priorities, budget).
- Trade media relations in coordination with HO communication and CMA CGM Group.
- Messaging, publication and customers tools. ü External events (tradeshows, exhibitions, conferences, customer events...).
- Commercial advertising, by-line articles and CEVA sponsoring & partnership.
- Contribute to the company digital presence ü Contribute to CEVA employee engagement (Deployment of CEVA internal programs, CEVA messaging and information flows and campaigns, Internal events (Conventions, web events, F2F, seminars.).
Develop with Communications GHO the CEVA’s image towards external stakeholders
- Media relation, messaging & support local interview scheme.
- Country space on cevalogistics.com (when relevant) and Country ID Cards.
- Contribution to Crisis communications at local level (e.g., Covid-19).
- Local exhibitions, customer seminars and stakeholders' events (F2F, webinars…).
- Marcom / Sales tools (brochure, presentation, Apps, videos,…) liaising with GHO communications.
Contribute to employees’ motivation and sense of belonging to CEVA Logistics and CMA CGM Group:
- Internal Corporate programs’ deployment, strategic decisions and information.
- Local management support to engage employees on Group, CEVA global, and local priorities.
- Manage CEVAnet intranet pages related to the Region (when relevant).
Advise and bring Communications services to Region Leadership team when agreed by Chief Communications Officer:
- Region collaterals, events and Media training.
- Manage CEVAnet intranet pages related to the Region (when relevant).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and execute marketing campaigns to support business growth.
- Define and execute leads generation and product campaigns, programs, and initiatives across multiple channels, including digital, social media, email, events, and traditional media.
- Create and oversee the implementation of marketing collateral, content, and materials, such as websites, brochures, presentations, and advertisements.
- Provide support on marketing intelligence and sector reports based on regional needs.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communication or Journalism.
- Minimum 10-15 years’ experience in Marketing Communications / Journalism at regional or international scale.
- Experience working in a matrixed organization environment & managing remote teams.
- Leadership experience across multiple geographies.
- Extensive senior leadership experience in a large and complex sales environment.
- Experience leading large-scale change management programs, either within a specific function or across a larger region.
Skills:
- Conversational fluent and ability to communicate in English.
- Excellent working knowledge of key Microsoft applications such as Excel, PowerPoint.
- Excellent writing skills; press releases and kits, media briefings, speeches, presentations, articles, messages, strategic planning etc.
- Capable of understanding business challenges / issues and translating them into communication proposals and developing messages.
- Organization skills: press trips and events, conferences.
- Proactively analyze, identify issues and explore solution, raise questions and research for answers to enhance work efficiency.
- Self-motivated, ability to work with limited resources and get the financial control activity up and running.
- Embrace changes and drives innovation.
- Ability to work in matrix organization, liaise and work across function, countries and products within the organization to deliver quality work on schedule.
- Applies process analysis with problem solving skills.
Interpersonal and Communication Skills:
- Confident communicator and presenter.
- Clear communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, able to build effective relationships with internal and external partners.
- Excellent presentation skill and be team player.
- Ability to maintain stable performance under pressure or opposition in a manner that is acceptable to others and the organization.
- Requires technical 'reporting issue” assertiveness, negotiation skills, conflict management skills, systems knowledge, managerial decision making and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrate success in leading, directing, managing and developing managers, staff and high-performance teams.
- Demonstrate success in planning, developing and executing complex strategies with the ability to embrace and manage change.

Preferred:
- Experience in business partnership with product / function / operation and validation of business performance is preferrable.
- Experience working in a matrixed organization environment & managing remote teams.
- Cross functional experience.
- Creative skills a plus.
- Skilled in relationship management.
- Ability to deal with high-powered stakeholders including external customers and high-level field personnel.
- Detailed oriented.
