Location: We have a remote working policy, so we are looking for teammates anywhere in the US! However, we have a strong preference for employees to be based in Austin for this role. We have additional employee pods in NYC, Chicago, and D.C., where we would love for you to work any time you’d like. Our standard operating hours are Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm EST.
Travel: This role will not be expected to travel. Note, Knit does US All Team, in-person company events twice per year.

Overview
Knit is looking to hire a Content Marketing Specialist to execute against Knit’s B2B content strategy, led by Knit’s Head of Marketing. This individual will be primarily focused on producing various forms of content, including blogs, whitepapers, case studies, social media posts, newsletters, and more. The ideal candidate will collaborate across functions to deliver an effective content marketing strategy and editorial plan to meet the business objectives in the most efficient manner.
The Content Marketing Specialist role is critical to the success of Knit company because our content establishes our position as a thought-leader and expert in the field of Research and Data Analysis. The main purpose of this role is to strategically produce and distribute content that resonates with our ideal customer personas – ultimately driving marketing qualified leads (MQLs) and assisting in the conversion of the sales pipeline. A successful candidate in this role will have a deep understanding of our ideal customer’s pain points, how our platform solves for those pain points, and will produce valuable content to bridge the two.
Responsibilities | What you will own…
Key performance indicators for this team & role:
- Volume of Content Production as defined in Content Calendar
- Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs)
- Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs)
- Assist in Sales Conversions and Revenue Generation (ARR)
Primary responsibilities of this role:
- Produce high-quality, interesting, and well-researched content to drive traffic and convert target customers, including: articles, white papers, blogs, press releases, email marketing messages, case studies, presentation content, survey reports and web copy
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and customer challenges in order to contribute to Knit’s content calendar, owning content production from ideation to distribution
- Collaborate with our Head of Marketing to set the content strategy based on customer research, ICPs, Knit Insights, industry trends, and more
- Produce and distribute content across Knit owned and paid channels including but not limited to our website, blog, SEO, and social media (Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok)
- Continuously iterate on content tactics (channels, formats, distributions, etc) based on performance metrics (clicks, visits, downloads, meetings booked, leads generated, CAC)
- Communicate cross-functionally across Knit’s Sales, CS, Product and Research functions to deliver against department goals and create alignment on content direction and resonance
- Communicate with Knit customers and prospects in development of customer-led content, like case studies and event presentations
- Ability to work with data and consumer insights, taking Knit’s owned or customer research and incorporating findings into content
- Maintain editorial calendar and written guidelines
- Serve as an exemplary writer, consistent with our company’s tone and mission
- Occasional management of external creative resources including designers, writers, and other freelance personnel
- Support on various marketing initiatives including conferences and events, outbound and more
Required Skills & Experiences
- 3-5 years of content marketing or direct copywriting experience in a B2B role
- Extremely strong writing skills (long form and short form)
- A strong "eye for design" and commitment to quality work
- Ability to make and revisit decisions based on real-time data
- Ability to produce long-form, short-form, graphic, audio, and video content (or the ability to manage freelancers to do so)
- Ability to develop, organize, and maintain process documentation
- Ability to manage multiple projects and juggle priorities
- Results-oriented; proven ability to prioritize, drive and achieve results through self and others under time pressure.
Nice to haves, but not required:
- Toolstack experience with the following preferred: Hubspot, Google Analytics, Paid Search & Social, Canva, Webflow, Mailchimp or similar CMS and marketing tool-stacks
- Strong preference for candidates with previous market research SaaS or go-to-market SaaS experience
- Experience with data-driven SEO analysis and optimization.
- Experience with light data analysis
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud a plus (Illustrator, Photoshop, AfterEffects)
