Social Media and Marketing Manager

We are looking for a growth-oriented individual to help us expand our reach, find new opportunities, and drive the next phase of our business.
The Role: We are looking for a self-motivated marketer to help fuel our growth. This is a flexible, hybrid position: the majority of your daily social media management, writing, and outreach can be done remotely.
However, you will also be one of the "faces" of Apex in the community. You must be available to attend industry networking events and visit event sites approximately 1–2 times per week. We are looking for someone who is disciplined enough to manage their schedule from home, but outgoing enough to thrive in a room full of new people.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media & Content Strategy
- Instagram Management: Execute a consistent growth strategy of one feed post and one Story per day.
- TikTok Management: Create and post one engaging TikTok per day to capture new audiences.
- Content Creation: Attend Apex events in person to capture high-quality photos and videos of our rentals in action.
- Strategic Tagging: Rigorously identify and tag all relevant venues, planners, and vendors in every post to maximize visibility and cross-promotion.
Business Development & Outreach
- Direct Outreach: Actively send posts/stories via DM to vendors and planners (both new and past partners) to showcase relevant work and generate leads.
- Networking: Represent Apex at industry networking events to meet potential referral partners.
- Relationship Management: Maintain a calendar of key contact milestones (birthdays, holidays) to nurture relationships with planners and venue owners.
- Post-Event Follow-Up: Connect with new planners after events to debrief, establish a connection, and set up meetings for future work opportunities.
Digital Marketing & Reputation
- Google Business Profile: Upload new event photos regularly, solicit reviews from happy clients, and respond to all reviews professionally.
- Content Marketing: Write and publish two blog posts per month highlighting our events and inventory.
- Email & SMS Marketing: Design and send one monthly newsletter and one monthly text message blast to our database of planners, venues, and past clients to keep Apex top-of-mind.
Qualifications
- Experience in Social Media Management (Instagram/TikTok) with a focus on growth/engagement.
- Strong photography/videography skills (iPhone content creation is acceptable if high quality).
- Comfortable with in-person networking and sales-adjacent conversations.
- Excellent writing skills for blogs and professional emails.
- Reliable transportation to travel to event sites and networking mixers.
