[Remote] Fractional Chief Sales and Marketing Officer

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Attest BioSciences is hiring a Fractional Chief of Sales & Marketing (CSMO) to help operationalize their go-to-market strategy and drive customer acquisition for their advanced at-home diagnostics. This part-time role will focus on sales leadership, marketing growth, and customer lifecycle management, ultimately transitioning to a full-time executive position after funding.

Responsibilities

  • Operationalize and iterate on Attest’s established GTM strategy across diagnostic product lines
  • Develop a sales pipeline across DTC and strategic wellness/community partners, leveraging your existing network to accelerate warm introductions, partnership opportunities, and early commercial traction
  • Build sales infrastructure including CRM systems, dashboards, and reporting frameworks
  • Collaborate with the CFO on pricing strategy, revenue modeling, and commercialization economics
  • Lead brand positioning, messaging, and creative direction across channels
  • Direct DTC acquisition (paid social/search, retargeting, funnel optimization)
  • Launch awareness and pre-launch campaigns to build traction and waitlists
  • Build influencer/creator partnerships and community-based outreach programs
  • Oversee content strategy, social media, and educational marketing
  • Develop personalized email/SMS flows for education, onboarding, and retention
  • Create customer journeys that reinforce trust and support repeat testing
  • Build loyalty and engagement strategies aligned with long-term health monitoring
  • Partner closely with the CEO, COO/CSO, CFO and other key stakeholders
  • Provide KPIs and insights for investor updates and fundraising
  • Help define and recruit the future commercial team post-seed

Skills

  • 5–12+ years in Sales, Marketing, Growth, or Commercial leadership
  • Demonstrated success in early-stage startup environments
  • Experience executing and optimizing GTM strategies
  • Strong DTC acquisition, funnel optimization, CRM, and analytics experience
  • Proven ability to build partnerships and leverage an existing network for traction
  • Strong communicator and storyteller
  • Able to balance strategic leadership with hands-on execution
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Marketing, Business, Economics, Data Analytics, or related discipline)
  • Healthcare, diagnostics, biotech, or wellness experience
  • MBA
