Blu. Sky is seeking a Vice President of Marketing to serve as the executive owner of our enterprise marketing and communications strategy. This is a fully remote role with a compensation range of $220,000-$240,000, and it comes with a bonus plan for qualified positions and a comprehensive benefits package.

As VP of Marketing, you'll work in close partnership with key stakeholders across the organization, leading the development and execution of a comprehensive marketing strategy that drives brand awareness, demand generation, and revenue growth. While digital lead generation is an important part of the mandate, it's not the central identity of the role — the broader mission is to build an integrated model that's deeply connected to sales and translates market insight into growth strategy.

## What You'll Own

  • *Commercial Strategy & Revenue Growth**
  • Develop and lead marketing strategies supporting each of Blu. Sky's growth engines: Branch Sales, Strategic Accounts, Insurance Services, and Residential Sales, recognizing the distinct requirements of each.
  • Drive vertical and industry expansion along with national and local market activation to open new sources of growth.
  • Own marketing's contribution to organic revenue growth, partnering with the CRO and sales leadership to convert market opportunity into pipeline and revenue.
  • *Marketing Strategy & Leadership**
  • Define and manage the marketing budget, ensuring resources are allocated for maximum ROI.
  • Drive brand positioning and differentiation strategies to strengthen market presence and ensure consistent messaging across all channels.
  • Ensure deeper integration between marketing and sales, defining the shared operating model, service levels, and hand-offs between teams.
  • *Demand Generation, Enterprise & Local Activation**
  • Develop digital marketing initiatives for top-of-funnel lead generation and conversion rate improvement.
  • Oversee SEO, SEM, website optimization, marketing automation, and online campaigns.
  • Manage trade shows, conferences, and event marketing to maximize ROI, and measure event-generated pipeline and revenue.
  • Implement account-based marketing strategies for key accounts.
  • Build enterprise marketing programs spanning brand, strategic accounts, partnerships, vertical campaigns, executive engagement, national events, and thought leadership.
  • Create scalable local activation programs branches and field sellers can deploy, including local market visibility, seller tools, targeted account support, and community engagement.
  • Own data, enrichment, and segmentation strategy that fuels targeted outreach and ABM.
  • *Sales Enablement & Activation**
  • In partnership with sales leadership, own marketing infrastructure that helps sellers win: value propositions by segment, sales presentations, pursuit materials, case studies, and vertical-specific messaging.
  • Develop account activation campaigns, customer-facing thought leadership, executive engagement materials, and playbooks for branches and sales teams.
  • Coordinate campaign follow-up and seller accountability to ensure marketing-generated demand is worked and converted.
  • *Customer, Market & Competitive Intelligence**
  • Lead market segmentation, customer research, voice-of-customer insights, competitive intelligence, and analysis of industry and vertical trends.
  • Size market opportunities, map the customer journey, and identify emerging growth opportunities.
  • Bring market intelligence into executive decision-making, helping the company decide where to compete and how to win.
  • *Brand, Communications & Reputation**
  • Lead external and corporate communications, public relations, executive communications, social media, and community relations.
  • Partner with the People/HR team on employer brand and employee-facing communications, with HR leading internal, employee, and HR communications.
  • Lead reputation management and crisis communications — a priority given the nature of the restoration business — in coordination with executive leadership.
  • *Marketing Operations, Technology & Data**
  • Partner with IT, Data, and Technology teams to shape the marketing technology roadmap and CRM integration, defining requirements for lead routing, data quality, and attribution.
  • Work with IT and Data to deliver marketing dashboards, customer and prospect segmentation, and inform decisions on technology investment and responsible use of AI and automation.
  • *Team & Organizational Leadership**
  • Design the marketing organization, set priorities and operating rhythms, and establish clear roles and accountability.
  • Recruit, develop, and build team capabilities, leading the function through organizational change.
  • Manage agencies, technology partners, and vendors, and drive cross-functional execution of an integrated annual marketing plan.
  • *Performance & Accountability**
  • Establish KPIs, monitor performance, and continuously optimize campaigns.
  • Own a commercial scorecard covering marketing-sourced and marketing-influenced pipeline, revenue contribution, lead-to-opportunity and opportunity-to-win conversion, pipeline velocity, customer acquisition cost, account engagement and penetration, return on marketing investment, cross-sell and expansion influence, and event-generated pipeline.
  • Establish an executive operating cadence with annual and quarterly planning, monthly business reviews, pipeline and attribution reporting, budget forecasting, and clear intake and prioritization for marketing requests.

## Qualifications & Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive marketing leadership experience, including digital marketing and demand generation.
  • Proven success in developing integrated marketing strategies that drive measurable business results.
  • Strong understanding of SEO, SEM, account-based marketing, and marketing automation tools.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally with sales, operations, and executive leadership.
  • Proven track record of innovation in marketing strategies, tools, and technologies.
  • Experience leading marketing within a multi-location or distributed business and supporting both enterprise and local sales motions.
  • Demonstrated success building a measurable demand-generation engine and managing a meaningful marketing budget.
  • Track record of leading teams and organizational transformation, partnering directly with a CRO, CEO, or executive leadership team.
  • Ability to translate market insights into growth strategy and develop executive-level reporting and recommendations.
  • Experience operating in a high-growth or private equity-backed environment preferred.
  • Industry experience in restoration, construction, facilities, insurance, property management, or another distributed service business preferred.
  • *Education:** Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Sales, or a related field is required.

## Work Environment, Travel & Benefits

This remote position occasionally requires travel — less than 25% of the time — with some out-of-area and overnight travel expected for training or meetings. The work environment is generally quiet, and reasonable accommodations are available. Physical demands include occasional lifting up to 25 pounds, sitting, using hands and fingers, reaching, talking, hearing, and moving around the office when needed.

Blu. Sky offers a competitive base salary, a bonus plan for qualified positions, and a comprehensive benefits package including a matching 401(k), health insurance (medical, dental, and vision), paid time off, disability coverage, equipment appropriate to the position (laptop, smartphone, etc.), and a corporate apparel allowance. Extended benefits include hybrid work options, an Employee Assistance Program, accident and critical illness coverage, and professional development.

Blu. Sky is an equal opportunity employer and prohibits unlawful discrimination based on age, race, sex, color, religion, national origin, disability, genetic information, sexual orientation, or any other status protected by federal, state, or local law.
