Chief Marketing Officer (CMO)

We are seeking an exceptional marketing leader with proven expertise in building and scaling consumer brands. You must have grown a digital-first, direct-response marketing, D2C eCommerce brand to $80MM-$150MM+ and implemented retail/B2B2C agreements to scale globally in 3rd party brick and mortar, digital display, digital marketplaces, and with click-back initiatives to your D2C from major retailers.

About the Role

  • This opportunity is with one of our long-standing clients who placed their COO and middle/senior management hires with us. They are a leader in their industry (online training courses, mobile app coaching, and sporting goods/CSPs).
  • This role offers transformative growth for their consumer-focused, direct-to-consumer (DTC) brand and B2B retail.

We consider candidates who meet these minimum criteria:

  • Proven track record: Demonstrated success in scaling at least one consumer/DTC/B2C brand from $80MM to $300MM+ in revenue.
  • Leadership tenure: Held a VP/CMO role for at least 35+ years in a similar type of company.
  • DTC marketing expertise: A significant portion of the company's growth under your leadership must have been driven by direct-response advertising and marketing, video sales letters, paired with strong brand-building capabilities.
  • Succesfully entered major retailer relationships: Such as Costco, Dicks Sporting Goods, Best Buy etc and their digital marketplaces without eroding or cannibalizing your D2C.
  • Scaled globally: Profitably, and sustained - did your growth marketing strategy work as measured by end of year 2 and end of year 3 metrics from your customer, and your teams and CEO feedback?
  • Employment: References that endorse your suitability and a clean standard basic background check
