Marketing Intern- Earthwise

As a Marketing Intern at Earthwise Bags, you will gain hands-on experience supporting a variety of marketing initiatives that help promote Earthwise's reusable bag solutions and sustainability mission. Working closely with the marketing team, you will contribute to digital marketing, content creation, social media management, e-commerce support, market research, and customer acquisition efforts.

This internship provides an opportunity to work on meaningful projects that support a national brand committed to reducing single-use plastics and promoting sustainable shopping habits. You'll collaborate with experienced marketing professionals while developing practical skills in brand management, content development, graphic design, digital marketing, and business growth initiatives.

Earthwise is the nation's leading provider of reusable shopping bags. Since 2005, we have partnered with many of the country's largest retailers to create customized reusable bag programs that help reduce waste and encourage sustainable consumer behavior.

This position is based in Glendale, California (Hybrid/In-Office) and requires availability for on-site work to support photography projects, sample program management, and collaborative marketing initiatives. This is a part-time, paid hourly internship that provides hands-on experience across digital marketing, content creation, social media, e-commerce, market research, and brand development while working alongside experienced marketing professionals.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing and maintaining Earthwise's content calendar.
• Create engaging social media and marketing content that positions Earthwise as a leader in reusable bags and sustainable living.
• Monitor social media channels and engage with relevant users and communities.
• Support digital campaign planning and execution across multiple platforms.
• Assist with product photography and image editing for e-commerce and marketing channels.
• Maintain organized photo libraries and asset management systems.
• Support the planning and execution of product and campaign photoshoots.
• Help create and update marketing collateral, presentations, and digital assets.
• Organize and maintain product sample inventories and storage areas.
• Assemble, prepare, and track customer sample kits.
• Support initiatives aimed at improving and expanding the Earthwise sample program.
• Research market trends, emerging opportunities, and new customer segments.
• Analyze competitors and industry developments.
• Identify direct-to-consumer growth opportunities and customer acquisition strategies.
• Assist with business development and market expansion initiatives.
• Update imagery, graphics, and content within the Earthwise Amazon Storefront.
• Assist with website content updates, product pages, and digital merchandising efforts.
• Support online marketplace optimization and e-commerce initiatives.
• Build and maintain prospect and customer contact databases.
• Utilize tools such as ZoomInfo and LinkedIn to research prospective customers.
• Support audience segmentation and targeted marketing campaigns.
• Assist with lead generation and customer acquisition projects.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a college or university program, or recent graduate pursuing a degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Environmental Studies, or a related field.
• Must be located in the Los Angeles area and available to work on-site as needed.
• Must possess strong planning, organizational and time management skills, as well as strong problem solving skills
• A proven ability to organize, prioritize, and successfully manage multiple and shifting priorities, projects, and deadlines
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

Preferred

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office apps, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
• Experience with Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
• Familiarity with social media platforms, content creation tools, and marketing analytics.
• Interest in sustainability, retail, e-commerce, consumer products, or environmental initiatives.
