About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Development & Marketing Officer (CDMO) to join their senior leadership team. The CDMO will be responsible for building and managing a diversified fundraising program, including major gifts, planned giving, annual giving, special events, corporate sponsorships, and foundation support. This role is pivotal in shaping the organization's sustainability strategy and positioning it as a thought leader in senior services. The successful candidate will lead all fundraising and marketing initiatives, ensuring that the organization has the resources and recognition needed to achieve its mission of serving older adults with dignity and independence. Key responsibilities include cultivating and stewarding relationships with donors and community partners, leading the planning and execution of fundraising campaigns, and overseeing the organization's marketing and communications strategy.

Applicants for the CDMO position at the company should have a Bachelors degree in a relevant field, with an advanced degree preferred, and a minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in fundraising and marketing, particularly in the area of major gifts and donor relations. The role requires a strong knowledge of fundraising techniques, donor cultivation, and sponsorship development, as well as experience with donor databases and digital marketing tools. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, a strategic thinker, and a passionate advocate for the mission of supporting older adults. They should have the ability to lead, motivate, and collaborate with staff, board members, and volunteers, and be committed to the values of the organization, including diversity, inclusion, and the celebration of differences.
