As rapidly growing national retailer and e-commerce brand we are seeking an experienced and highly strategic Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to lead local and nationwide marketing operations. Our company / brand specializes in home good (Major home Appliances, Kitchen, Bath, lighting) consumer goods across multiple categories, with a strong emphasis on online sales, marketplace performance, and brick-and-mortar expansion.
The company operates at scale, ships nationwide, and is has entered a major growth phase. This role is ideal for a marketing leader who thrives in fast-paced, innovate environments and wants to play a defining role in building a household brand.
Role Summary
The Chief Marketing Officer will own the company’s entire marketing vision from brand strategy and paid media to e-commerce optimization and national retail expansion. The ideal candidate is a data-driven executive with deep experience in retail, consumer products, digital advertising, customer acquisition, and omni-channel growth.
You will work directly with ownership and executive leadership to create a scalable marketing engine capable of supporting aggressive national growth.
Key Responsibilities
Brand & Creative Leadership
- Develop and execute a comprehensive national brand strategy.
- Ensure consistent messaging, identity, and creative direction across all channels.
- Oversee campaign frameworks, creative assets, copy direction, and audience targeting.
E-Commerce Growth
- Lead digital acquisition across Google Ads, PMAX, Meta, TikTok, SEO, retargeting, email/SMS, affiliates, and display.
- Optimize conversion rate, LTV, repeat purchase behavior, and funnel efficiency.
- Guide the evolution of the company’s e-commerce platform and customer journey.
- Retail & Marketplace Expansion
- Build marketing programs for new store openings and national rollouts.
- Develop marketplace advertising strategies (Amazon, Wayfair, etc. where applicable).
- Implement regional and national promotional calendars.
Leadership & Team Development
- Develop KPIs, dashboards, reporting structures, and budget controls.
- Align marketing operations with sales, product, and customer experience teams.
Customer Engagement
- Oversee loyalty, retention, review generation, and customer lifecycle programs.
- Strengthen brand trust through content, transparency, and proactive communication.
Qualifications
Required
- 5+ years of progressive marketing experience, including 5+ at the executive or director level.
- Strong background in retail and e-commerce (required).
- Demonstrated success scaling a consumer brand using paid media and omni-channel tactics.
- Expertise in analytics platforms, attribution, CRO, and marketing automation.
- Proven ability to manage multi-million-dollar budgets efficiently.
- Experience leading creative, digital, and brand teams.
- Exceptional strategic, analytical, and leadership abilities.
Preferred
- Experience in home goods, appliances, furniture, liquidation, discount retail, or related verticals.
- Prior experience in high-growth or startup environments.
- MBA or advanced degree in marketing or a related field.
