Community Builder & Social Media Strategist
Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL (Hybrid - M&F in office)

About the Role
We're looking for a dynamic Community Builder & Social Media Strategist who lives and breathes social media, knows how to create scroll-stopping content, and can turn conversations into conversions. This isn't just about posting—it's about building a community that's engaged, excited, and ready to take action.
You'll own our social presence from content creation to DM sales, combining creative storytelling with strategic community engagement to grow our brand and drive real business results.
What You'll DoContent Creation & Production
- Create high-quality video and photo content that captures attention and tells our story
- Professional video editing using industry-standard tools (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or similar)
- Develop a consistent content calendar that aligns with our brand voice and business goals
- Stay ahead of trends and adapt content to platform-specific formats (Reels, TikTok, Stories, YouTube Shorts)
Community Management & Engagement
- Build and nurture our online community across all social platforms
- Respond to comments, messages, and mentions with authenticity and speed (this includes custom video messages, regularly using memes and emojis and more)
- Foster meaningful conversations that strengthen brand loyalty
- Monitor community sentiment and provide insights to inform strategy
Social Selling & Conversion
- Drive sales through direct messaging and social engagement
- Identify and engage potential customers in comments and DMs (text/video)
- Convert conversations into bookings, sign-ups, or sales
- Track and report on social-driven revenue and conversions
Strategy & Growth
- Develop and execute social media strategies that grow our audience and engagement
- Analyze performance metrics and optimize content based on data
- Collaborate with the team to align social efforts with broader marketing goals
- Test new platforms, formats, and approaches to stay innovative
What You BringRequired Skills
- ✅ Professional video editing experience with a portfolio that proves it
- ✅ Strong photography and videography skills (shooting and editing)
- ✅ Proven ability to sell through social media and DMs
- ✅ Deep understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and best practices
- ✅ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- ✅ Experience with community management and engagement strategies
- ✅ Self-starter mentality with the ability to work independently
- ✅ Based in Fort Lauderdale, FL or willing to relocate
Bonus Points
- Experience in the events, hospitality, or experiential marketing space
- Familiarity with social media management tools (Later, Hootsuite, Sprout Social)
- Graphic design skills (Canva, Photoshop, Figma)
- Understanding of paid social advertising
- Experience with influencer partnerships or collaborations
Tools You'll Use
- Video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, etc.)
- Social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.)
- Content planning and scheduling tools
- Analytics and reporting platforms
- CRM or messaging tools for sales tracking
What Success Looks Like
In your first 90 days, you'll
- 30 Days: Audit our current social presence, develop a content strategy, and start posting consistently
- 60 Days: Build engagement momentum, establish community management workflows, and generate your first social-driven sales
- 90 Days: Hit growth targets for followers and engagement, demonstrate measurable ROI from social selling, and optimize our content mix based on performance data

Hours
10-15 hours per week (2 days in office around downtown Fort Lauderdale M&F from 12-4pm the rest is remote).
Pay
$500 stipend per month + 5% commission on sales + quarterly bonuses + equity (this should come out to around $1-2K per month or $25-30 per hour)
NOTE: Having another full time job is fine. This is a part time job but hopefully we can move you to full time in H2 2026 with a real competitive salary!!!! Grow with us and help us get there very soon!
