Marketing Operations & Traffic Manager Role Summary

The Marketing Operations & Traffic Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the workflow of the Marketing department. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), this role serves as the centralized point of control for marketing intake, prioritization, scheduling, and delivery across all channels.

This role does not manage people directly. Instead, it focuses on ensuring work moves efficiently through established processes, timelines are met, and stakeholders have clear visibility into status and dependencies.

Core Responsibilities

Marketing Workflow & Traffic Coordination

  • Manage centralized intake, prioritization, and scheduling of marketing work
  • Serve as the primary traffic coordinator across marketing channels
  • Ensure work is appropriately sequenced based on timelines, dependencies, and capacity
  • Apply and reinforce established workflows, timelines, and approval processesCampaign & Project Oversight
  • Coordinate execution of integrated marketing campaigns across digital, broadcast, print, social, and in-store channels
  • Track timelines, approvals, and deliverables to ensure on-time execution
  • Identify risks, bottlenecks, and delays; escalate issues as needed
  • Ensure all creative assets meet brand, quality, and legal requirements

Cross-Functional Communication

  • Partner with Creative, Media, Digital, Social, Executives, and external agencies
  • Communicate status updates, timeline changes, and risks clearly and consistently
  • Support alignment across teams by maintaining shared visibility into priorities and progress

Reporting & Process Support

  • Maintain status reports, dashboards, and timelines for leadership review
  • Support ongoing improvements to marketing workflows and tools
  • Provide operational insights to leadership related to throughput and delivery challenges

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, or equivalent experience
  • 5–8+ years of experience in marketing operations, traffic, or project management roles
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
