Position Summary
The Chief Growth & Strategy Officer is an executive leadership role responsible for driving sustainable revenue growth by aligning digital strategy, client development, sales, marketing, and client success under a unified commercial vision. This role owns the entire client revenue lifecycle—from acquisition through retention—while ensuring Location3's digital capabilities and service offerings remain competitive and differentiated in the franchise marketing space.
The CGSO serves as the primary architect of the company's go-to-market strategy and revenue engine, translating market opportunity into measurable growth outcomes.

Expected Salary - Base salary of $200,000 annually depending on experience plus bonus. Additionally, our incentive plan provides the opportunity to earn even more.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue Strategy & Accountability
- Own company-wide revenue targets and develop the strategic roadmap to achieve them
- Design and execute multi-year growth plans with clear milestones tied to revenue, margin, and client count objectives
- Build and refine revenue forecasting models and pipeline management processes
- Establish pricing strategies and packaging frameworks that maximize client value and profitability
- Identify and pursue new revenue streams, service expansions, and vertical market opportunities
Digital Strategy & Market Positioning
- Define and evolve Location3's digital marketing methodology and competitive differentiation
- Monitor emerging trends in local SEO, paid media, franchise marketing, and marketing technology to inform service development
- Ensure the agency's capabilities remain ahead of client needs and market demands
- Translate complex digital strategies into compelling value propositions for franchise decision-makers
- Represent Location3 as a thought leader at industry events, conferences, and in trade publications
Client Development & Acquisition
- Lead business development strategy targeting franchise brands and multi-location businesses
- Build and maintain C-level relationships with prospective and existing clients
- Oversee the sales process from lead generation through proposal development and close
- Develop strategic partnerships with complementary service providers, technology vendors, and industry associations
- Create and refine the agency's pitch strategy and new business materials
Client Success & Retention
- Own client retention metrics and develop strategies to maximize lifetime value
- Ensure alignment between client expectations and service delivery across all pods
- Establish client health scoring and early warning systems for at-risk accounts
- Lead strategic account reviews with key clients to identify expansion opportunities
- Champion a client-centric culture across all revenue-generating functions
Team Leadership & Development
- Build, lead, and mentor high-performing teams across sales, marketing, and client strategy
- Foster collaboration and alignment between commercial functions and delivery teams
- Establish clear KPIs, performance metrics, and accountability frameworks
- Recruit and develop senior talent to support growth objectives
- Create career pathways and professional development opportunities for commercial team members
Cross-Functional Alignment
- Partner with operations leadership to ensure service delivery supports growth commitments
- Collaborate with finance on forecasting, margin analysis, and investment decisions
- Work with the CEO and leadership team on strategic planning and organizational development
- Ensure marketing, sales, and client success functions operate as an integrated revenue engine
Drive data-informed decision-making through dashboards, reporting, and analytics
Qualifications
Required Experience
- 12+ years of progressive experience in digital marketing, agency leadership, or commercial roles
- 5+ years in senior leadership with direct P&L or revenue accountability
- Proven track record of scaling revenue in a professional services or agency environment
- Deep expertise in digital marketing disciplines (SEO, paid media, analytics, marketing technology)
- Experience selling to and servicing franchise or multi-location businesses (strongly preferred)
- History of building and leading high-performing commercial teams

Education
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
Success Metrics (First 12 Months)
- Develop and gain alignment on 3-year revenue growth roadmap
- Achieve annual revenue and new client acquisition targets
- Improve client retention rate by X%
- Establish unified sales/marketing pipeline with clear stage definitions and conversion metrics
- Build executive relationships with top 10 strategic accounts
- Implement client health scoring and quarterly business review cadence
Compensation Framework
- Base Salary: Competitive, commensurate with experience
