Melissa & Doug Social Media Marketing Intern

About the position

As a Social Media Marketing intern, you will be responsible for assisting in the creation & management of social media content across Melissa & Doug channels. You will get exposure to many aspects of our Digital & Social Marketing plans including content ideation, content creation, planning, execution & reporting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the planning and execution of social media campaigns aligned to marketing initiatives
• Collaborate on briefing internal creative team or external content creators to bring social campaigns and concepts to life
• Assist on influencer and/or PR campaign strategy
• Help manage monthly content calendars and scheduling/publishing content
• Track social media performance to identify high-performing ideas and campaigns for scalability
• Perform social media listening, identifying trends & actionable insights
• Respond to comments and DMs on social media platforms
• Help create & manage consumer engagement events at our local retail store at the Westchester Mall
• Capture content at retail store to leverage for social media
• Develop new strategies for increasing engagement
• Ensure content & creative delivers against brand equity & priorities

Requirements

• Must be a rising College Junior or Senior
• Minimum GPA > 3.0
• Major area of study in line with role
