The Opportunity

The Field Marketing Manager owns the planning, coordination, execution, and measurement of field marketing programs and events that support pipeline creation, customer engagement, and regional business priorities.

This role manages cross-functional processes, programs and events rather than direct reports. The Manager is responsible for creating structure, driving accountability, coordinating stakeholders, and continuously improving the operating model within the assigned marketing workstream.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Translate regional and business priorities as communicated by the Director, Field Marketing and VP of Marketing into integrated field marketing plans, calendars, and program briefs.
  • Own the end-to-end operational process for assigned field events, executive programs, customer experiences, partner activities, and other regional campaigns.
  • Use Asana or similar project management software to build, manage, and track deliverables and coordinate stakeholder responsibilities for all assigned field programs and events.
  • Coordinate timelines, dependencies, budgets, vendors, agencies, venues, creative assets, logistics, and internal approvals with sufficient time allotted for production and delivery.
  • Partner with Sales, Digital Marketing, Product Marketing, Comms/PR, Brand, Labs and Independent Software Vendor (ISV) Partner teams to align programs to pipeline and revenue objectives.
  • Develop clear program requirements, project/workback plans, RACI/ownership models, and communication cadences to keep stakeholders aligned.
  • Manage lead capture, routing, follow-up, campaign attribution, and post-event processes in partnership with Marketing Operations and Sales.
  • Meticulously track assigned program and event performance, including registration, attendance, engagement, sourced/influenced pipeline, conversion, cost efficiency, and other agreed KPIs.
  • Maintain a robust field marketing program and events calendar to ensure program status, risks, decisions, and next steps are visible to all stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Manage external vendors and partners through defined scopes, timelines, deliverables, and performance expectations.
  • Coordinate program, event and partner contracts with legal and finance teams to ensure swift and timely execution for all events and programs assigned under your role’s responsibility set.
  • Identify process improvements that increase program and event quality, scalability, consistency, and operational efficiency.
  • Capture lessons learned and build reusable playbooks, templates, and best practices for future programs.
  • Conduct detailed debriefs and post-mortems with Sales, Marketing, Labs, Partners and other key stakeholders for assigned programs and events in a timely manner. Capture critical performance data and feedback to make iterative improvements.
  • Provide regular data-driven reporting and strategic recommendations to the Director of Field Marketing.

Qualifications

Required

  • 5-7+ years of experience in B2B field marketing, including 2+ years of B2G field marketing and events marketing.
  • Experience with trade shows, tech days, conferences, workshops, live and virtual events, digital programs, demand-generation programs, and integrated campaign marketing development and execution.
  • Strong project and program management skills, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams and deadlines.
  • Experience partnering closely with Sales and other cross-functional teams in a pipeline-oriented environment.
  • Strong organizational, communication, vendor-management, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Comfort working with budgets, timelines, performance metrics, and operational details.
  • Ability to turn ambiguous business objectives into structured plans and executable programs.
  • Experience with CRM platforms; Salesforce (SFDC) is a plus.
  • Experience with marketing automation platforms such as Marketo and HubSpot.
  • Familiarity with campaign tracking and attribution concepts.

Preferred
