We’re looking for a visionary Product Marketing Director to shape the future of our government go-to-market, working in close partnership with engineering and sales teams. This role is about thought leadership, bold storytelling, and go-to-market strategies that position Microsoft as the leading solution for Government. This leader will be responsible for shaping strategic recommendations that guide portfolio roadmaps, crafting compelling narratives, and developing go-to-market strategies aimed at increasing both awareness and usage. This role is especially critical as AI continues to transform mission readiness, cybersecurity, and decision-making throughout the industry.

Responsibilities
- Strategic Thought Leadership: Develop a clear understanding of the market landscape and execute outbound awareness and pipeline generating GTM motions to position Microsoft as a leader in Government transformation.
- Content Strategy: Deliver high-impact content across web, events, social, field and enablement channels to drive engagement and adoption
- Narrative Development: Create clear messaging that highlights AI’s role in transforming Government.
- Market foresight: Proactively monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and new technologies to adapt strategies and stay competitive an approach critical in dynamic sectors such as Government, Defense, and Intelligence.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with engineering, sales, and customer success teams to align portfolio vision with marketing execution. Formulate strategic recommendations for the product portfolio, encompassing analysis of market opportunities, competitive landscapes, and tailored overviews for Government.
- Go-to-Market: Lead v-teams and direct marketing strategies for effective product releases. Develop and execute impactful launch strategies that leverage key industry and first-party events.
- Performance Optimization: Define success metrics and continuously refine strategies for maximizing impact of GTM.
Qualifications
Required/minimum qualifications
- Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 4+ years experience in business OR Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 6+ years experience in business
- OR equivalent experience.

Additional Or Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 8+ years marketing or sales experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 12+ years experience in business
- OR equivalent experience.
Product Marketing IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $251,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $272,300 per year.
