Overview: My7on7 provides youth football leagues, training programs, and national tournaments across multiple states. We create opportunities for young athletes to develop their skills, build confidence, and compete. Our marketing team helps connect those opportunities with players, families, coaches, and teams.
Role Overview: My7on7 is seeking a creative, organized, and dependable Social Media Coordinator Intern to help coordinate content, manage online engagement, and execute marketing campaigns across our social media platforms.
The role begins with a 30–60-day training and evaluation period, with the goal of transitioning successful candidates into a permanent part-time coordinator position, based on performance and business needs. We’re looking for someone interested in growing with My7on7 beyond the initial training period.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate content planning and publishing: Maintain the content calendar, write captions, schedule posts, and ensure timely publication across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and X.
- Create and capture content: Develop graphics, short-form videos, photos, athlete features, and behind-the-scenes content at leagues, training sessions, tournaments, and community events.
- Manage community engagement: Monitor comments, messages, and mentions; provide timely responses; and engage with relevant teams, programs, and audiences.
- Support marketing campaigns: Collaborate with the marketing team on program promotions, registration campaigns, media days, and event coverage.
- Coordinate outreach: Support ambassador, creator, and program partnerships while documenting outreach, follow-ups, and results.
- Track performance and recommend improvements: Monitor social media metrics, research trends and competitors, and use those insights to recommend improvements to content, engagement, and campaigns.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed studies in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Sports Management, or a related field.
- Experience creating social media content through employment, internships, coursework, student organizations, volunteer work, or personal projects.
- A working understanding of major social media platforms and how content should vary by platform and audience.
- Basic proficiency with Canva or a comparable graphic design tool.
- Strong writing, organization, and time-management skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to take initiative, follow through on assignments, communicate progress, and apply feedback.
Preferred skills: Photography, videography, short-form video editing, Adobe Creative Suite, and experience covering sports or live events.
Schedule and Work Location The position requires approximately 10–15 hours per week in our Saint Paul office, plus additional hours for scheduled weekend leagues, tournaments, and other events. Weekend availability is required, including availability for some longer event days.
The initial training period emphasizes in-person learning and collaboration. Limited work-from-home assignments may become available once you understand the role and demonstrate that you can manage responsibilities independently and reliably.
This is not a fully remote position.
