The Search Team

Our Paid Search team blends analytical rigor, innovation, and performance-driven execution to support leading enterprise brands. Through the Omnicom Search Center of Excellence, we leverage advanced tools, shared best practices, and cross-channel collaboration to deliver scalable retail growth.

This role supports a large-scale retail account where Google Shopping and feed-driven activation are central to performance.

Role Overview

The Manager, Paid Search will play a key role in executing and optimizing Shopping and Performance Max programs within a high-SKU retail environment.

This role requires strong hands-on experience with Google Shopping and a solid understanding of how product feed structure impacts campaign performance. The Manager will collaborate closely with senior leadership and feed management partners to drive performance improvements and maintain feed integrity.

The primary goal of this role is to ensure accurate execution, ongoing optimization, and feed-informed performance growth.

Core Responsibilities

  • Google Shopping & Performance Max Execution
  • Manage day-to-day execution of Google Shopping (PLA) and Performance Max campaigns
  • Support campaign segmentation using custom labels, category structures, and product group hierarchies
  • Conduct search term analysis and implement query-level optimizations
  • Support implementation of Smart Bidding and Value-Based Bidding strategies
  • Monitor pacing, performance trends, and revenue impact
  • Feed & Merchant Center Support
  • Work within Google Merchant Center to monitor:
  • Diagnostics
  • Disapprovals
  • Price mismatches
  • Availability issues
  • Partner with feed management platforms (e.g., Feedonomics) to:
  • QA feed updates
  • Validate rule changes
  • Communicate optimization requests
  • Understand how feed attributes (titles, product type, GTIN, custom labels) impact Shopping performance
  • Escalate structural feed concerns with clear performance rationale
  • Retail Optimization & Performance Analysis
  • Analyze SKU-level and category-level performance
  • Identify opportunities to:
  • Prioritize high-performing SKUs
  • Contain underperforming inventory
  • Improve title and attribute structure
  • Support margin-informed segmentation strategies
  • Assist in forecasting and performance reporting
  • Cross-Team Collaboration & Leadership
  • Collaborate with Associate Directors and Senior Directors on strategic initiatives
  • Mentor junior analysts and ensure high-quality execution
  • Maintain strong internal communication across Analytics, Feed Ops, and Investment teams
  • Ensure QA and governance best practices are followed

Qualifications

Experience

  • 3–5 years of Paid Search experience
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with Google Shopping campaigns
  • Experience working in retail or e-commerce environments
  • Experience mentoring or guiding junior team members

Technical Expertise (Required)

Shopping & Retail

  • Solid experience managing Google Shopping (PLA) campaigns
  • Working knowledge of Performance Max
  • Experience with SKU-level segmentation and custom label usage
  • Familiarity with Value-Based Bidding principles

Feed & Merchant Center

  • Working knowledge of Google Merchant Center
  • Experience navigating diagnostics and disapprovals
  • Familiarity with supplemental feeds and promotions feeds
  • Experience collaborating with feed management platforms (Feedonomics or similar preferred)
  • Understanding of how feed structure impacts campaign performance

Platforms & Tools

  • Hands-on keyboard experience with:
  • Google Ads
  • Microsoft Ads
  • Experience with SA360 (strongly preferred), Skai, Marin, or similar tools
  • Experience with Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics
  • Basic understanding of tracking, tagging, and troubleshooting

This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). The Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. For this role, benefits include: health insurance, vision insurance, dental insurance, 401(k), Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account, vacation days, sick days, personal days, paid parental leave, paid medical leave, and STD/LTD insurance benefits.

Compensation Range

$50,000—$85,000 USD

This role is hybrid, requiring three (3) days per week in the office. The remaining two (2) days may be worked remotely. Specific in-office days will be discussed during the interview process, with flexibility to align with team needs. Please note that the number or required in-office days may be adjusted over time, potentially increasing the number of required in-office days based on business needs.
