Senior Marketing Event Specialist-Trade Shows & Ancillary Events

Right On Pointe

Right On Pointe | Full Time | Atlanta, GA (Hybrid)

We’re hiring a trade show and corporate event planner at Right On Pointe.

This is a hands-on, execution-focused role for someone with direct experience planning and managing trade show booths and corporate events from start to finish, including logistics, vendor coordination, and on-site delivery.

Right On Pointe is seeking a Senior Marketing Event Specialist to join our team full-time, with a primary focus on trade shows and ancillary events, including client dinners, receptions, off-site experiences, and hosted activations.

Are you an organized, detail-driven event professional who loves bringing complex programs to life? Do you thrive on execution, logistics, and collaborating with clients and internal teams to deliver polished experiences?

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being hands-on, keeping multiple workstreams organized, and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks. If you excel in a fast-paced environment and take pride in seeing well-executed events come together seamlessly, we would love to hear from you.

Who We Are

Right On Pointe is a strategic experiential and event marketing agency producing high-impact corporate events, incentive experiences, trade show programs, and supporting events worldwide. We are a detail-driven, collaborative team that values preparation, accountability, and delivering polished experiences that support real business goals.

What You’ll Do

As a Senior Marketing Event Specialist, you will support and, in some cases, own defined scopes within trade show programs and standalone ancillary events. You will work closely with Marketing Event Managers and senior leadership to execute logistics-heavy workstreams and support client-facing planning and delivery.

This is an individual contributor role with no people management responsibilities. The role includes direct client interaction and moderate travel based on event schedules.

Core Responsibilities

1. Event Planning and Project Coordination

  • Support the planning and execution of trade show programs, including booth logistics, exhibitor requirements, vendor coordination, and pre-show preparation
  • Lead or support ancillary events such as hosted dinners, receptions, off-site activations, and smaller experiential moments tied to larger programs
  • Own assigned logistics workstreams, including timelines, deliverables, and task tracking

2. Client-Facing Coordination

  • Serve as a point of contact for assigned client workstreams, providing clear communication, updates, and follow-up throughout the planning process
  • Participate in client meetings to review logistics, timelines, and execution plans
  • Ensure client expectations, branding, and priorities are reflected in assigned scopes of work

3. Trade Show and Event Logistics

  • Coordinate event logistics such as asset shipments, vendor schedules, registration details, rooming lists, and onsite plans when applicable
  • Support exhibitor and sponsorship-related logistics in collaboration with Event Managers
  • Maintain detailed planning documentation to ensure seamless execution

4. Vendor and Budget Support

  • Coordinate with venues, vendors, production partners, and suppliers under the direction of Event Managers
  • Assist with estimates, budget tracking, and reconciliation for trade shows and ancillary events
  • Flag budget risks or changes early and support cost control efforts

5. Planning Tools and Documentation

  • Manage and maintain planning tools including budgets, timelines, logistics schedules, event specs, meeting agendas, and detailed project notes
  • Create clear, polished internal and client-facing presentations, run-of-show documents, and planning materials using PowerPoint and related tools

6. On-Site Event Support

  • Provide onsite execution support for trade shows and ancillary events, acting as a client-facing representative of Right On Pointe
  • Proactively troubleshoot issues onsite to ensure smooth execution and client satisfaction

7. Post-Event Support and Continuous Improvement

  • Support post-event wrap-ups, recaps, and client debriefs
  • Contribute to internal documentation and learnings to inform future programs

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for a reliable, organized, and collaborative event professional who takes ownership of their work and communicates clearly with clients and teammates.

Key Characteristics

  • High attention to detail and strong follow-through
  • Calm, adaptable, and solutions-oriented when plans change
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate needs and flag risks early
  • Highly organized and comfortable managing multiple priorities

Key Skills and Experience

  • 3–5+ years of experience in corporate events, experiential marketing, or agency environments
  • Hands-on experience supporting or executing trade shows and ancillary events such as dinners, receptions, or off-site activations
  • Experience working directly with clients in a professional, service-oriented capacity
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Experience using tools such as Cvent, Teamwork, Slack, or similar project management and collaboration platforms
  • Comfortable working primarily remotely, with travel required based on event needs
