The Vice President of Marketing is responsible for building and executing our clients' marketing strategy to directly support sales growth through pipeline creation, brand clarity, and demand generation. This role owns end-to-end marketing performance, ensuring all marketing activity is aligned to help Sales acquire customers, accelerate deals, and drive revenue. As a senior leader, this role brings structure, accountability, and execution discipline so marketing consistently delivers measurable commercial impact.

Key responsibilities

  • Define and execute a unified marketing strategy focused on helping Sales achieve pipeline and revenue targets.
  • Build and scale a demand generation engine that consistently delivers qualified leads and supports sales conversion.
  • Own marketing attribution, pipeline visibility, and reporting to give Sales clear insight into performance and opportunities.
  • Strengthen brand positioning, messaging, and assets to improve sales effectiveness across all customer touchpoints.
  • Partner closely with Sales and Business Development to improve lead quality, support deal progression, and remove friction in the funnel.
  • Collaborate with Product to ensure launches are positioned and delivered in a way that supports Sales adoption and revenue generation.
  • Raise execution standards across campaigns, trade shows, digital channels, and dealer initiatives to better support sales outcomes.
  • Establish clear operating rhythms, timelines, and accountability to ensure marketing consistently delivers what Sales needs, on time.

Success Metrics

  • Marketing consistently generates qualified pipeline that meets or exceeds sales targets
  • Improved conversion rates and shorter sales cycles driven by stronger marketing support
  • Clear, reliable visibility into funnel performance and marketing contribution to revenue
  • High adoption and effectiveness of marketing assets and campaigns within the Sales team
  • Consistent, on-time delivery of campaigns and launches that directly support sales priorities
  • Strong alignment and trust from Sales, reflected in reliance on marketing as a core revenue driver

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a senior marketing leadership role with direct accountability for pipeline, revenue, or sales outcomes.
  • Demonstrated success building and executing demand generation strategies that materially improve sales performance.
  • Strong brand leadership experience, with a focus on enabling sales through clear messaging and positioning.
  • Experience working closely with Sales teams to improve funnel performance and conversion.
  • Strong analytical and operational mindset, with the ability to implement structure, metrics, and accountability.
  • Experience in manufacturing, wholesale, building products, or other product-driven industries preferred.
  • Experience improving marketing attribution, CRM reporting, and event or trade show ROI preferred.
  • Proven ability to build, lead, and develop a high-performing marketing team while driving accountability and clarity.
